Other features include a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-thru and Texas Backyard department with a selection of outdoor essentials. Hello Fort Worth!
I visited H-E-B tonight and unfortunately had a poor experience at checkout. I am not a first-time H-E-B customer, but I recently moved to Fort Worth, and this location did not provide the level of customer service I am used to.
I had difficulty scanning several items at self-checkout. One item had already been scanned and bagged, but the machine still said it needed to be bagged. When the representative came over, she made me feel like I was doing something wrong instead of helping me resolve the issue.
I understand it was the night before a holiday, and I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt that staff may have been tired and ready to go home, but customers are also trying to get home. I shopped at the Katy locations for years and never had issues like this. This experience honestly made me reconsider shopping at this location again.

I was genuinely excited to use H-E-B for my wedding flowers and had heard great things, which is why this experience was disappointing.
I initially sent an email and left a voicemail but didn’t receive a response. After waiting a few days, I called back, hoping to move forward with my order. Unfortunately, the interaction felt very dismissive. I was told that because I hadn’t included my wedding date in the email, they didn’t follow up, but there was little empathy or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I even spoke to the manager.
What saddened me most wasn’t the misunderstanding itself—it was the lack of compassion or remorse in the conversation. Planning a wedding is exciting but also stressful, and a little kindness goes a long way. I truly wanted to work with them and was looking forward to having H-E-B be part of such a special occasion.
I hope this feedback encourages more thoughtful communication with future customers, especially those celebrating important milestones.

We frequent heb all the time, and a lot late nights around 9:30/10. Well planned a grocery trip just to waste our time in the store because they took all the cold stuff(the entire deli of cheeses, deli meats, etc. the entire back half of the store is in containers. The staff was blocking multiple sections with pallets and product. Couldn’t get more than half of what we came for. A lot of shelves were mostly empty in the meat section and produce. And the store didn’t close for another hour and a half. Wasted our time coming to this heb, and yall just lost money. I don’t understand why this isn’t something that can’t be done when the store is actually closed. Extremely inconvenient and won’t be coming back to this store.

It's overly crowded. Customers often think they are the only one that matters. You aren't. Of course, I went on a Saturday. My fault I went during the crowd. Still, folks. Find your manners and patience. It makes it better for all of us.
The store itself. HEB is a hazard to my health. I can't go near produce, the healthiest area in the store because of its proximity to seafood. If you can smell it, there's enough in the air to cause anaphylaxis for me. So I wear a mask in the store and stay five or more aisle from seafood/fresh beef, chicken, pork/produce.
I get what I can get from the far side that is "me" friendly. I go to Kroger for produce.
HEB isn't the only store that I have to be careful in. But they do carry a few things no one else does. I'll be back in a few months when my supplies run out.

As a H-E-B partner, I was disappointed by an interaction I had while shopping 6/17/26 at 8:55pm . I was checking out in the 15-items-or-less lane with exactly 15 items in my cart when the partner working the register stopped me and said, “This is the express lane if you didn’t know.” The comment was delivered in a rude tone, and she repeated herself as though I hadn’t heard her the first time.
What made the situation more frustrating was that the customer ahead of me appeared to have more than 15 items, yet I was the one being singled out. Rather than argue, I simply went to another lane and completed my purchase elsewhere.
As someone who previously worked for H-E-B, I understand the standards partners are taught regarding customer service and respect. Whether someone is a customer, Instacart shopper, current partner, or former partner, everyone deserves to be treated courteously and professionally. This interaction left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcome, which is not the experience I’ve come to expect from H-E-B.
I am not looking to get anyone in trouble, but I do believe partners should be reminded that how they communicate with customers matters just as much as enforcing store policies.
