I wanted to take a moment to recognize two outstanding employees, Derek and Logan.
I came in after a long, stressful day at work with a terrible headache, and from the moment I walked through the door, Derek greeted us with a huge smile and such an enthusiastic “Welcome to Domino’s!” that it immediately lifted my mood. His energy was genuine, warm, and welcoming.
There was a small mistake with how my pizza was cut, but that’s not why I’m writing this review. Mistakes happen. I’m writing this review because of how Derek and Logan handled everything afterward. They apologized sincerely, kept us informed, and even brought our order out to the car so we didn’t have to get back out. They made us feel valued every step of the way.
While I was waiting, I watched them interact with every customer who came through the door, and they treated everyone with that same kindness, patience, and positive attitude. It wasn’t just for us that’s simply who they are.
I’ve worked in customer service for 29 years, so I know how challenging this work can be. I also know that customers are usually quick to point out poor service but rarely take the time to recognize exceptional service. That’s why I wanted to make sure Derek and Logan received the recognition they deserve.
People sometimes say, “They’re just making pizza,” but I see it differently. They’re helping families put dinner on the table after a long day, giving people one less thing to worry about, and sometimes, like they did for me today, turning someone’s entire evening around.
Customer service like this is hard to come by these days. Thank you, Derek and Logan, for your kindness, professionalism, and for reminding me what genuine customer service looks like. I truly hope your managers recognize the difference you make.
