  We chose Double Eagle Steakhouse for Mother’s Day dinner and made reservations ahead of time. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. My wife ordered her steak medium, but it came out undercooked. We brought it to the staff’s attention, and they agreed it was not cooked correctly. Instead of preparing a fresh steak, they took the original one back and re-cooked it. About 15 minutes later, it was returned overly charred and clearly overcooked from trying to fix the same steak. To make matters worse, the manager never came back to check on the table or see if the issue had been resolved. For a restaurant at this price point, we expected much better service and attention to detail, especially on Mother’s Day. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

  Very nice place to have dinner. Service was exceptional and the wait staff was attentive. Steaks had a wonderful flavor and I would definitely recommend that you don't skip dessert, butter cakes was awesome!!!!

  For the money that was spent, I wasn't impressed with the food quality. My wife ordered the lamb chops and they were bland. The lobster mac and cheese was just okay (needed more seasoning and was dry, I expected a more creamy sauce). I had the beef shanks ribs, they were decent but the mashed potatoes were cold ( the cheese they put on it did not even melt). We should have gone to Del Frisco Grill instead, but it was Mother's Day and I wanted to treat my wife.

  1 star (0 stars if I could). We came here to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday, and I wanted it to be special—but it ended up being the complete opposite. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, yet our server only checked on us about every 30 minutes. I was without a drink for most of the night, which is unacceptable for a place that’s supposed to be upscale. It also took over an hour to get our food, and when it finally came out, the wagyu burger had soggy buns. For the prices they charge, you expect much better quality and service. I was there on 5/2/26 at 8:30 PM, and based on this experience, I definitely do not recommend.

  Update!!! Originally I gave this a 2.5 out of 5. The manager Steve called me and invited us to come back for a re-do. The steak, atmosphere and service was what everyone talks about. The filet was unreal. Wine fantastic. Shawn was our server and he truly took care of us. New rating, 5 stars! ————- Back from my honeymoon and took time to process and still felt I need to leave a review with how disappointed I am. A week out from my wedding night I called and booked a dinner for two. When I spoke to the receptionist I explained that this would be the first meal as husband and wife and we would have just been married 2 hours prior. I explained I was hoping for something special and that I wanted a good spot since it was such a special occasion. They assured me they would make it special since it’s our wedding day. Upon arrival they said they did not have my reservation. I even showed the text I received to confirm my reservation and they said they didn’t have us. I explained the situation and we both looked like we left a wedding and they acted as if they didn’t have room. We waited 5-8 minutes and then they put us next to a big party of 12. I tried asking to move and they said this is what they had and I probably booked it with a different del Frisco’s. I decided to just be present with my wife and try to enjoy the night. When it came to order our meal I ordered a filet and it was way undercooked. I did ask for medium and it came out rare. My wife’s was perfect (which I honestly care about because it’s her night). I asked for mine to be sent back and fixed and it came out burnt after 10 minutes. At that point I gave up and resigned to not eat. The best part of the meal was the mashed potato’s which is sad to say for a steak place. Honestly after hearing so much about this place it was a bust. We both were disappointed them acting like we were just random people off the street. Book your reservation somewhere else. I am calling another Fort Worth establishment Chumley House to have a do over for our wedding.
