  I was having a really long bad day. I came in with my youngest daughter and met Amisha who was the cashier. She was so nice and had an inviting personality.   The Texas Barbecue Restaurant in this HEB is Amazing and the food is sooooooo good hot fresh . The potato with brisket or turkey I had turkey and okra sooo good and the employees Amisha and Chris was so Nice and welcoming and polite talkative and make you feel like you’re at home !!!!! I will be back for sure to this spot HEB for life

  Absolutely amazing BBQ! The meat was tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor, and everything tasted fresh. The service was excellent as well. A special shout-out to Amisha—she was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience. Great food and outstanding service. Definitely recommend this place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  Overall, a very good experience. The lean brisket was very good and tender and the sausage was excellent. Service really stood out to me. Amisha was in the dining room and greeted me at the drink station. She checked on me twice while I was eating to make sure everything was good and if I needed anything. Unexpected for a grocery store restaurant. Was really good experience and will definitely return!

  We had an excellent experience at True Texas BBQ inside the Forney H-E-B, and Chris was a huge reason why. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us warmly, patiently answered every question we had, gave helpful recommendations, and even followed up with us afterward to make sure we were enjoying everything. His friendliness, professionalism, and genuine attention to customers really stood out. We ordered the El Jefe sandwiches, and they were delicious. The brisket and sausage were both flavorful, and the sandwich was absolutely massive. People rave about Buc-ee’s barbecue sandwiches, but this one is nearly twice the size for only a dollar or two more. Great food, generous portions, and exceptional service from Chris. He truly went above and beyond and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!
