  I had an interaction with Ross that unfortunately wasn’t very positive. I rarely ask employees for help, but when I finally did, he made a sarcastic comment that left me feeling like I was being made fun of for asking a simple question. I left feeling embarrassed, and that’s not how anyone should feel after asking for assistance. A little patience and kindness can go a long way in customer service.

  I ordered a bday cake and when I picked the cake up it looked like a 5 year old decorated it. So embarrassing. Never will I place an order with heb i floresville. I had to go out of my way to buy a new cake. So sad..

  I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service I experienced today at the Floresville H-E-B bakery. Earlier today, I called the bakery to place an order for a cake. I spoke with a very kind and helpful woman over the phone who advised me that I would need to come into the store to show them the design I wanted. Since she made it sound like it would be possible, I drove 30 minutes to the location to discuss the order in person. When I arrived, a younger gentleman behind the counter assisted me. He was polite and helpful, but mentioned he wasn’t completely sure if they could accommodate the design, so he called over who I assume was his supervisor. The supervisor, a heavier-set gentleman, immediately seemed dismissive and told me they would not be able to do the design. The cake design was very simple — just a lasso and cowboy hat theme. He stated they could only use designs from their book and there was “nothing extra” they could do. I felt the design request was very reasonable and simple to accommodate. Because of the interaction, I decided to cancel the cake order and drove to the La Vernia H-E-B location instead. Not only were they happy to help me, but they also told me the design should not have been a problem for the Floresville location to complete. I also had a fairly large deli order placed at the Floresville location, which I ended up canceling as well and moving to another store due to this experience. Overall, I’m very upset and disappointed with the level of customer service I received in the bakery department. I understand if something truly cannot be done, but the dismissive attitude and unwillingness to even try to accommodate a simple request was frustrating — especially after I was asked to drive to the store in person.
