Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
This Whataburger has come a long way since it first opened, I stop by once or twice a week at night and they're always fast and the food is always consistent, employees are always nice and accommodating. It's great having another food option in the area

This was my first time at a Whataburger. The experience was made by our cashier. You've met her. Friendly, sassy, the one that wears rhinestone encrusted eyeglasses and calls you "sugar". Yeah, her. She was awesome, and makes me want to come back.

The food and service were standard for what you’d expect, but the pricing policy is where the experience falls short. It is quite disappointing to be charged extra for water or ice, especially when purchasing a full meal.
In a professional service environment, basic refreshments like water are typically seen as a courtesy to paying customers. Having to pay an additional fee for these essentials feels unnecessary and detracts from the overall value of the visit. I hope management re-evaluates this policy to create a more welcoming experience for their guests.

Got a double burger and it was not very good. It was fresh but I just didn't like how it tasted.

The lady behind the counter is the sweetest. The food is consistently fresh, which unfortunately doesn't go for all whataburgers. This one is the exception and has become our new whataburger. I wasn't aware, but it's not owned by the same folks that own most of the etx whataburgers, and honestly, I think that's what makes the difference. I see it in the food and even in the price!
