I cried. The food was immaculate and flavorful. Appealing to the eyes and the mouth. We had first indulged in small refreshing bowls of fruit, then in the beet and burrata lunch special. The burrata was light and creamy drizzled in a rich balsamic and it paired delightfully with the golden and red beets, the arugula was fresh and cleansed the palette between every bite, and it was all topped with thinly sliced almonds. Next I had partaken in the pesto omelette, this was the beginning of my tears. The egg was perfectly cooked, not raw and not overcooked. It was stuffed with spinach, halved cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, feta cheese, and had a drizzle of fresh pesto on the top of the omelette. Safe to say the plate was clean by the time I was finished. Every bite of that omelette brought tears of joy to my eyes, each bite gave me a taste of heaven. Then as the last dish in my journey I had the Sicilian tuna crudo. It was slices of sashimi yellowfin tuna, topped with pistachios, lemon zest, chili flakes, basil, and chili oil. Each bite told it's own story if flavors. It was light and refreshing and made me sob. When the last bite came is was distraught, I felt satisfaction at what I had eaten but I was sad for the journey to end. After my last bite we were given Andes mints, a bitter sweet ending. I sat for a long while drinking my peach tea, basking in the glow of what I had eaten. I'm so glad to have been able to enjoy this journey, the shepherd of this heavenly meal was the lovely miss Annette. Highly recommend, amazing food and atmosphere. Great for food allergies.
