I typically do not write reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to share my experience.
Last Friday, our party of four came in for dinner. Two of us ordered steaks, both of which were among the more expensive cuts on the menu. Unfortunately, when the steaks arrived, they were significantly overcooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen.
While our meals were being remade, the other two guests in our party ate their dinners, leaving us waiting. By the time the replacement steaks arrived, they were undercooked. At that point, the dining experience had already been disrupted, and we were no longer enjoying the evening. We were disappointed and frankly frustrated.
For a restaurant at this price point, I would expect the kitchen and chef to have steak temperatures mastered. Cooking expensive steaks properly should be a basic expectation, not something left to chance.
To be fair, the service was good. Our server was actually on his first day and was doing his best under the circumstances. He handled the situation professionally, offered us complimentary desserts and a round of drinks, and genuinely seemed concerned about making things right.
However, when the bill came to nearly $300, it was hard to overlook the fact that the main reason we came there, the steaks, was such a disappointment. While I appreciate the efforts of the server, the overall dining experience fell well below expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it based on our experience.
