Amazing atmosphere. Even saw people dancing in their seats. Jailine was the best! I asked for recommendations and she did so freaking good! Cream of corn amazing! Green chili rice amazing! Brisket left me speechless because im from LA and its been the best I've had. Jailine recommended the sausage and I am so glad I put my experience in her hands, had to high five her it was so good! Couldn't have been more thankful and full! If not I would of tried the desert menu! 10/10

Being from California, we don't really know BBQ. Desert Oak was recommended by our campsite. Gotta say, this was the best BBQ we've ever had. Our server, Alana, patiently guided us through how to get a good tasting of everything on the menu. She did great! Everything we ate was SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD. Not sure about other restaurants in the area, but you won't be sad eating here.

Desert Oak BBQ delivers a strong four‑star experience built on speed, flavor, and a laid‑back Texas vibe. The first win hits before you even walk in: a spacious parking lot that makes arrival stress‑free. Inside, the quick and professional staff keeps the pace moving, from seating to checkout, and the easy‑to‑read menu makes ordering simple. Food came out fast, and the infused lemonade options were a standout—bright, refreshing, and a fun twist you don’t see everywhere. The brisket was solid and satisfying, while the pulled pork landed more in the average range. The surprise star of the meal was the creamed corn. It had what tasted like Hatch chiles mixed in—not listed on the menu, but absolutely elevating the flavor with a subtle heat and smokiness. Service stayed strong throughout. Our waiter was attentive, quick, and on point without hovering. The restaurant itself is large, with music at that perfect level where you can enjoy it without shouting over it. The rustic picnic tables tie the whole atmosphere together, giving the place a relaxed, communal feel. A fast, flavorful, and comfortable BBQ stop—well worth the visit.

Been a customer for a long min. But after todays experience I might change my mind. If I could give today's experience no stars believe me I would. So I ordered the 2 meat combo with the sliced brisket and the ribs. The ribs were great. Great flavor great everything was just great in regards to the ribs. However the brisket was super fatty. The person that I was with also ordered one of the meats to be brisket. His wasnt as fatty. He also got sliced brisket. On the menu it states if you have an issue to contact the server and see what can be done, that's exactly what I did. So I reached out to the server and the server responded. Not even a apology with the response was that was a slice that you got and it happened be fatty. It is what it is. That is not what the customer wants to hear. The customer either wants a replacement or a discount at the end of the meal or something that can be done. However, that was not the case. And the fact that she didn't even bother to apologize. She did not even try to take ownership nothing. Nothing was done. Very disappointed because I am a big foodie. I love going out to restaurants. Mind you, I eat out quite often on a weekly basis and for a plate to be $25- $30 plate and one of the meats to be basically more than 50% fat. Not really edible, it is just definitely disappointing to say the least. After today's experience honestly I might not be going back for a while. I mean unless management or someone reaches out and apologizes and makes it right again. They need verification I did take pics if needed.
