  Saturday early lunch. It was our first visit. We had a guest from California who wanted to try Texad BBQ. The restaurant itself was very nice with lots of seating, and comfortable seating. You might want to take a sweater if your cold natured, since dinning area extra cold. The food was very good. We had sausage,brisket, and ribs. I tried the chessy rice and mac...both very tasty. Two of us in our party did not like the potato salad. It had a strange taste, but everything else delicious. The staff was friendly and our server, a young man with glasses, was very helpful and attentive. My only negative comment was that on the outside of main entrance was full of trash... cups, trash, paper napkins, food trays, and bags. The entrance was just nasty. A little TLC outside the building would go a long ways. I cant believe a manager or staff member did not noticed it, and was left that way. The outside entrance was my first impression of the restaurant, which was a bit scary, but thankfully the inside was perfect. Other than that! it was great food. We plan to return.

  The food was okay I ordered the two meats for the price the quantity is not sufficient. Two slices of brisket and two ribs for the price is disappointing. The food was cold not even warm and the sauces were watered down. It was my first time here and I won’t be coming back.

  I had high hopes for this restaurant since I frequently drive by and it always looks so inviting, but my experience today was incredibly disappointing. Our server, Damian, made the meal very uncomfortable for my family and he was short tempered, seemed distracted, and repeatedly forgot items . To make matters worse, his attire was completely unprofessional for a dining establishment, as he had lots of nasty marks on his neck..I truly hope the management addresses this.

  On Monday September 28th, about 2-3pm, my family ordered dinner online. My wife picked it up and paid about $100 and brought it home. Upon arrival at home we found that Desert Oak Barbecue had not included the barbeque sauces requested online. Nobody wanted to go back to get some. Imagine brisket, ribs, sausage without barbeque sauce. It was a big disappointment to say the least or not to use other words. I hope they are more careful and get things right down there.

  7.5/10. Went twice to make sure I gave a proper review. The brisket sandwich was great. The bbq sauce however did not go well with it. Almost like a it had a hint of vinegar in it. The green Chile cheese rice was good. The pulled pork sandwich was great and the sauce actually went well with that. The pork bites had no flavor and neither the chili sauce it came with. The key lime was disappointing. It had a very lite taste of key lime. Also had Mac and cheese and there was nothing exciting about that. It was basic. Overall experience wasn't bad. Definitely room for improvement. If they can fix their bbq sauces it will easily jump to 8.5/10 in my opinion.
