- EREli RMay 3, 20261.0I've never really had a problem with the meat from Albertsons except for today My3, 2026 , we bought 3 packs of Beef dino short ribs and was a bit curious on why the ribs were facing meat side down on the carrier plate . Turns out that when I started taking them out of the packaging the ribs were mostly fat, No Wonder. It was 3:30 am and couldn't really do anything because they were for fam and friends that paid me to smoke them for Sunday lunch. Needless to say that Albertsons meat dept really let me down, beef prices are thru the roof and purchasing half racks of meat is very disappointing 😞

The company has no regards for food handling procedures! What are they waiting for? For someone to get sick? Or worse, more that one person? How about kids getting sick? Will they fix their ways then? They do not rotate products in the deli/kitchen area. If new chicken comes out. it is placed on top of the old one... that only God knows how long has it been there. Working as a food handler in my youth I remember having to take several trainings for handling food. After some time, having to re-certify in the same trainings, etc. But not in Albertson's! Does the concept of "FIFO" means anything to you guys? First In First OUT! Super simple... I'll venture to say, even common sense. Unfortunately, common sense seems to be a "super power" now a days. Almost nobody has it anymore. Since I will no longer consume any of these products at this Albertson's (referring to the prepared food products), I guess I will leave this comments as a warning for other people willing to take that risk. Another advise... Do not let the employees know your concern because you will end up with chicken wings instead of chicken thighs or breasts, like just happened to me!!! Unacceptable!!!
