Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

It is so tasty and deliciously sweet!!! I had the Spicy Crispy Chicken and added mustard and Jalapeño Ranch, and it came out crispy and soft and delicious. I would have given a 5 for my wonderful Prickly Pear drink that made my experience stupendous, so enjoyed every bite accompanied by this fresh drink that I recommend to all of y’all, except my daughter’s meal came in 15 minutes after mine even though both were ordered at the same time. I had already finished my food completely, and I finally asked a gal what was taking so long. She brought the meal and made no apologies. That was awkward. Anyhow, most of the tables were also dirty, so we couldn’t find where to sit this last Friday afternoon. I understand it gets busy, but come on, someone needs to clean them asap. Finally, a guy left his booth, and we went to sit. It was dirty but not as dirty as the other tables that still had trash in them. The managers and employees are very nice, so it’s just small things they need to work on to make this environment better for the customers. My daughter and I saw a total of five empty tables with trash that had not been wiped, and I sat in one that was dirty as well but had no trash. We figured we would take the booth that looked cleaner even when we knew it was dirty as the previous customer had just gotten up, and seeing how many tables were dirty, we sort of knew we just needed to sit. Also, please provide sweet tea on our side. I literally have to ask each time I go for sweet tea because they don’t have it available on this side. I have gone several times when I did order a regular drink and have to request it because it’s not readily available on our side only on their sides. That is atypical of a Whataburger.
