Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
A waste of money, time and effort. There was no one there ordering when I arrived. First experience. We ordered 2 burgers and figured it would take a few but would be fresh. I watched my order leave the screen as another order was called. I did notice that the baby blue short haired lady made sure to get her food in front of us before she went on break with an entire meal. We continued to wait as many others now have ordered and gotten their food. I finally back the cashier that took my order to check please because there hasn’t been in orderea to pickup on the screen for a few minutes and I’m starting to get worried. I finally get the meals 14 minutes after I ordered. I hopped at least it was good. It was not. The burger buns were soggy from wet veggies, the fries were cold and over salted. And the meat only had seasoning in one spot… for real. Just salty in one spot. Neither of us could eat this and we were actually on a different terminal and walked to get this. It was not worth the walk, the wait or the money spent. There were so many people in the back just yapping away while our order was beating looked over or whatever happened, for the first ever burger from the place and at the airport???? Corporately what are we doing here???? 1 time is fine for me n mine

I ordered my food, and my order number showed up on the monitor. The girl handing out the food looked in the same bag four or more times and still couldn't find it, even though it was right in front of her. I finally told her to ask the people in the back because she kept calling out everyone else's order. The guy bagging the food looked in my bag once and found my food. By then, my burger and fries were soggy. I don't recommend this Whataburger; it's awful.

Tried Whataburger again and went with the Patty Melt this time. Definitely one of my better choices lol. The burger was juicy, the grilled onions had a ton of flavor, and the creamy pepper sauce really brought everything together. The fries were hot and crispy too. The employees were friendly, the restaurant was clean, and my food came out pretty quickly. It’s definitely more filling than your average fast-food burger. I’d order the Patty Melt again for sure.

★★★☆☆ – Whataburger at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
After finding very limited breakfast options at the airport lounge, I walked over to Whataburger because I had missed the chance to try it during my previous trip to Texas. Coming from California, I have access to plenty of good burgers, but Whataburger had been talked up enough that I was curious to finally give it a try.
The service was not particularly welcoming. I stood at the counter looking at the menu and waited for the employee to acknowledge me or ask whether I was ready to order. Instead, she looked away and did not say anything. When I stepped closer to the counter, she finally asked, “Do you want something?”
Since it was around 6:00 a.m., I asked whether they were only serving breakfast or if the regular menu was also available. She told me they were serving everything, so I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink.
My food came out in about 10 minutes. The burger and fries were fine, but nothing about them really stood out to me. The service was also fairly middle-of-the-road overall—neither especially good nor terrible.
One frustrating issue was the table. It looked normal, but it was extremely wobbly. A small movement caused my drink to tip over and spill, and I had to get a refill. Based on how unstable the table was, it seems unlikely that I was the first customer to encounter the problem.
Overall, Whataburger was okay. I would not go out of my way or find myself craving it, but if someone handed me one of their burgers, I would still eat it.

And you can look at my reviews I do not give places a one star, unless they truly deserve it. This place was horrible dudes who were working the counter were extremely mean not friendly at all and not patient when I was asking him questions cause I had never eaten here before so I opted in to get a Whataburger with bacon cheese. It took forever to get the burger and then I don’t know if they noticed that I was sitting right there. The people at the counter were throwing the bag up in the air, letting it drop and hit the counter and the girl and him were playing around with the burger then after like three or four minutes, they called the number. I was so mad that that was my burger and when I got it, the bun was Hella soggy and you could tell the burger was kind of played with I’m gonna say out all the restaurants in this airport do not eat here.
