  Self check out line was all the way down the isle and not a single employee decided to get on a register. They just walk around playing on their phones. UNACCEPTABLE

  I’ve been doing pick-up orders recently and I’ve had great experiences. This last pick up order, I got boneless skinless chicken thighs for an amazing deal. I realized when I got home that I was given one of the orders out of two that I paid for. I called up there and I spoke with Brenda at the pick up area and she was absolutely amazing. She looked at my order and realized that yes, I was shorted the other portion. She accommodated me by giving me the option of either refunding or picking it up. Her customer service was beyond amazing. Ive been going to this Tom Thumb location for over a year, She is hands down fantastic at her job.

  I made a curbside pickup order and when they completed the shopping it said no substitutions but when I arrived I noticed 2 of the sodas were replaced with a flavor I did not want so they took them back and i requested a refund. When I got home 5 of the 6, 6 pack sodas I ordered were not zero sugar and it was not noted that they needed to be substituted. I looked back to verify I had ordered the right things and I had but the shopper picked the wrong drinks. Super Annoying and complete waste of time.

  Look at the owner response. Hiking? The store name. Wrong info in the wrong review...Come on Google get it together... I Purchased a baked chicken breast at 4:20 pm got to my destination a few minutes later, it was old and dry. I returned to the store about 6:30 pm to replace the old dry breast with fresh one. I waited 2-3 minutes for someone to come to the counter. The same young lady hat sold me the old,dry breast came walking from the store to behind the counter. Perfectly good sink in front of her, but she did not wash her hands. She picked up an empty box of gloves and threw it on the counter next to the same large bowl of cooked chicken that was on the counter 2 hours ago when I got the original old dry breast. I wanted a fresh piece so I asked How long has the chicken in the steam table been sitting? The young lady ( light complexion w/ glasses, no visible name tag)said "not long" I asked "how long is not long?" She said "I don't know, the other guy put it out and he just walked off". She rolled her eyes shifted her weight to the other foot holding tongs in one hand as if I was such a bother. I knew it was best I walk away. Before doing so, the "guy" returned his name tag said HAROLD. She asked him how long it's been out ? I can't make this up. He said not long. Both their body language and attitude said it all. Safe food handling 101...Aren't you supposed to note what time food is put in the steam table and dispose of it in a timely manner? Yes you are. Clearly, that did not happen. She never washed her hands. Picked up an empty glove box, threw it on the counter. I explained to Harold that the chicken breast I purchased earlier was old and dry, I wanted a fresh piece. He told me "if I wanted fresh chicken I should go home and make it myself". "This is a deli" he said. It's going to dry out" I chose not to engage any further. He tried to laugh it off, as if the rudness,and disrespect was funny. I don't play about my food. I found no humor in it at all. I went to customer service got a refund. Harold you can cool believe after this experience I will definitely cook my chicken at home where it WILL BE FRESH. What if all TOM THUMB customers cook their chicken at home and not patronize the deli? After reading this post they may think twice. I certainly won't EVER buy anything from Tom thumb deli again. Buyer beware!
