  Yesterday I ordered and my crabs were simply delicious. I enjoyed everything that was on my plate. Thank you Shell tails well looking out for your community and you get you get your moneys worth.

  Back in 2020, I started looking around the Dallas area for restaurants that had amazing seafood boils with that authentic Louisiana-style flavor. That’s when I came across this amazing food truck in DeSoto called Shells and Tails 2 Geaux. 🦐🦀 I went one Friday afternoon and ordered myself a Cajun shrimp platter and some seafood nachos. And when I tell y’all I was HOOKED… I was HOOKED! 🫠🤤🔥 When I got home, my brother Dante said, “Dang, that looks and smells delicious! Where did you get that from?” I told him, Shells and Tails 2 Geaux. The very next day, we went together. I got him the Cajun shrimp platter, and I got myself the Cajun crab platter. We absolutely LOVED it! Everything was made fresh, cooked to order, and seasoned all the way through. 🦐🦀🔥 From that day forward, my brother was HOOKED! 😂 We started coming faithfully every week, and honestly, my brother would come just about EVERY DAY that food truck was open. Eventually, they knew both of us by name. LOL! ❤️ My brother would drive almost 45 minutes to an hour just to get his seafood boil from Shells and Tails 2 Geaux. Even when his health started to decline, he still loved that seafood so much that he would make the drive. That’s just how much he loved it. 🥹❤️ Dante ate seafood from Shells and Tails 2 Geaux faithfully all the way until God called him home on June 13, 2026. 🙏🏾🕊️ One of the things he wanted to do for his 40th birthday was have his favorite seafood spot, Shells and Tails 2 Geaux, cater his birthday dinner. Although he didn’t get the opportunity to celebrate his 40th birthday here on Earth, I’m going to make sure his love for his favorite seafood place is still celebrated. ❤️ To Blu and the entire Shells and Tails 2 Geaux team, THANK YOU! Thank you for always providing us and everyone we referred to you with amazing customer service, delicious food, and that good Louisiana-style seafood flavor right here in Texas! 🦐🦀🍤🔥 You all became a small but very special part of some of my favorite memories with my brother. Every seafood boil, every trip, every laugh, and every time y’all recognized us by name became memories that I will forever cherish. ❤️ I’ll be ordering soon in remembrance of my brother Dante and in honor of his 40th birthday. 🎂🦐🦀 Dante loved him some Shells and Tails 2 Geaux! 😂❤️ Rest well, my brother.   Hands down its been 3 years since i been to Shells and Tails and i must say they still got it a d this shrimp platter is on point. Shrimp is cooked perfectly. Its my niece birthday and they definitely looked out for her and her brothers. Appreciate yall From CJ. Thank you.

  Hands down the absolute best crab legs in the DFW area! Being a Mississippi native, I’m used to authentic seafood, and they boil theirs to perfection—just like back home—rather than packing it in a bag loaded up with heavy garlic and extra seasoning. I gladly drive an hour just to get this top-notch, truly one-of-a-kind Louisiana seafood. Highly recommended!

  I had this place on my hit list for months, and accidentally stumbled upon it out and about the other day. I made a whole U-turn and placed my order exactly 5 mins before closing. Even though their day was almost over their customer service was still top tier! Despite closing, my plate was not rushed at all and was prepped to perfection! I received it just as advertised! The taste was there, freshness on point, corn super sweet and filled with the right amount of spice, the sausage was DELICIOUS ( I need to know the brand asap)! My crab legs broke easy so that confirmed the freshness was real and let me know they know what they doing! The plate didn’t make it out of the parking lot! Even though they were closing and packing up the chef, personally, brought out a stack of napkins and offered gloves to heighten our experience to minimize the mess in my suv! I told him no gloves needed and that it was my birthday, but not my last day eating here! Yes, we will be driving from Coppell/Irving area again very soon to try more options on the menu! I wish nothing but blessings, blessings and more blessings to this chef and his staff! You truly have something special!
