  Excellent food. When eating ethnic food, I look to see if members of that ethnicity are also eating the fare. I saw a Sikh pick up a to go order, so I took that as positive vote for the restaurant. The hot chai was excellent as always.

  We love the food here! If you wanna try out Nepali food this is the spot ! But…. Today we came an hr before closing which can be late on our part as per restaurant closing but we were okay with getting our food delivered late if we came late ……however,even after we said it’s okay the food might take 15-20 mins the server repeated “our restaurant closes at 9” which was rude. We know and we won’t stay past that time .They could have told us that there kitchen is now closed for dine in before seating us down Not to mention the kitchen was so loud , which is why the atmosphere is rated 2

  I love Spicy Chowk!! I especially love eating inside because to staff and service and incredible- they are so very kind and attentive. The food is outstanding and very similar to traditional Indian food you can find in Denton. It’s my favorite Indian restaurant in Denton- so good!

  Dining alone I was sat, drink order taken, then they sat another family about 2 minutes later (party of 4) They left the service floor, came back and served the other family their drinks and took their order. Then went to the family that was already eating for refills. Left the service floor again and never acknowledged me. Left without ordering after about 15 minutes.

  The food here was delicious, and the portions are very generous. We tried the butter chicken, lamb biryani, chicken tandoori, kids chicken strips, cheese naan, and the spicy chowk ko aloo. Everything was delicious, and we had lots of leftovers. There are some gluten free items flagged on the menu, and I was able to ask the waiter if there were any other gluten friendly items. I am not celiac/allergic, just sensitive. I had no issues eating the chowk ko aloo, the biryani or the tandoori. The lowest level spice was still spicy to us but had good flavor as well. The service was a little slow, but it is worth the wait. Overall, definitely recommend!
