If you like good quality fried seafood and cold beer this is the place for you. The raw oysters are good as well. If you want fancy go somewhere else. If you want a catfish and shrimp basket served by friendly staff... welcome home.

Great food, excellent service, awesome atmosphere, however the music is a little loud for all the concrete and tin... Overall this is a great addition to Denton and my first time to eat here.

Had a great experience at Shuck Me! The food was really good, but what really stood out was the service. [Mazzy] was awesome—super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. You can tell she actually cares about giving customers a good experience. Definitely recommend Shuck Me, and I’ll be coming back
It was ok. Not crowded when we went and the food came pretty quickly. I wish you could see the play area from inside, but oh well.
The food was pretty bland. We got the grouper sandwich, catfish, shrimp, and oysters with okra, fries, and hushpuppies. Everything was bland except the fries. The fries were pretty salty. The complimentary beans had a little kick to them which was nice. Overall I just wish everything had been seasoned more. The grouper patty on the sandwich was also small, so sometimes you just got a bite of bread.
There are no servers. You have to go up front to order and to pick up your food and anything else you need. Yet you are still expected to tip when you order.
Might try it again when the weather is nicer so we can sit outside, but overall I still prefer Bebo's for flavor, service, and portion size.
Tonight was my fourth—and unfortunately, my last—visit.
Our first visit was outstanding. The second was good. By the third visit, I remember saying that if that had been my first experience, I probably wouldn’t have come back.
After tonight, I know I won’t.
The atmosphere is great, but unfortunately, the food has gone downhill. I am 100% convinced my meal was not cooked fresh. The crab was wimpy and extremely difficult to crack, and what little meat I could get was stuck to the inside of the shell. Thankfully, I brought my own utensils because I don’t think I would have been able to get much out otherwise.
The corn was overcooked, the potato (yes, one potato) was bland, and the shrimp was equally disappointing.
For $40 a meal, you would expect the food to be outstanding. Unfortunately, it simply hasn’t been the last two times we’ve been here.
It’s a shame because the atmosphere is great, and our first experience was so good. But after tonight, I just can’t justify spending that kind of money on a meal that leaves me disappointed.
