ZERO STARS! (Wait til the end.)
Who ever manages this place needs to pay attention to who they leave in charge.
The power-tripped teenager that was working by himself(and according to him had his own keys to the store) refused to let my wife pick up our 3 sandwiches. We've done this dozens of times before without issue until now.
Granted, the orders were from separate devices, but she had screen shots of each order, could tell you exactly what each sandwich had on it, and so on.
But the teenager demanded that we were trying to steal them and needed all 3 devices in the store before releasing the other 2 subs.
So, I had to drive up there, greeted my wife (who was sitting inside waiting for me), then proceeded to the counter and stood there waiting for the kid to finish making someone else's food. He acknowledged me, so I tell him my name and what I am picking up. He proceeded to hand me the subs, but then looks at my wife behind me and remembers that he drew a line in the sand he refused to cross. So the kid yanks my sandwiches out of my hand, squishing them and prolonging the event. He starts demanding that he see my phones first. I look at him dead in the eye and say, 'Come on man, you know it's me. Just hand me my food.'
He says, 'Show me your phones.' We stare at each other, and then he says, 'You're wife was an adult about things(shes pissed by the way) and now you're acting like me.'
At this point, I didn't want to make too fast of a move, because I was afraid of my initial reaction, after him pulling my food from my hands.
All of this while 3 other customers are waiting in line and watching.
I scoot over, look through my phones to bring up the order numbers, and proceed to show him... but he tells me, to wait as he finishes the customer in front of him. (Kid, I'm a paying customer, not some 3rd party delivery guy, and I am in front of you plus my sandwiches are now squished and getting cold) Trying to keep the peace, I did all I could to keep my composure and my mouth shut. He finally looks and then tosses my sandwiches in a basket. Then says, 'Now get out of my store.'
I asked his name. He tells me to take a picture of his supervisors number. I asked, why would I need to do that? He says that I only want to complain about him. So again I asked, as if trying to make sense of things and talking to my own 18yo, 'Why would I have something to complain about?'
Suddenly, he did not want to talk. After forcing me into this situation, he jumps out the side door, removing his hat and apron as if intending to get physical. Standing in my face now, screaming he is going to remove me from the store(that I never wanted to be in anyway) and call the cops. He starts telling me how he has the keys to the store and can do whatever he wants. I tell him he's on a power trip.
Again, I did with every ounce of my being to try and keep a cool head. Honestly, video proves that I was literally cornered between chip stand, a wall, and soda machine. He had now invaded my bubble and personal space. So I left before it got worse... but seriously, that kid was on a power trip. Literally stated it. Never again will I step foot into this Subway. I've reached out to Subway about this altercation but have not received any response. This is very unprofessional, confrontational, and unacceptable. The kid went from afraid of me stealing TO cussing and threatening me to my face. He is lucky I was trying salvage my Sunday night.
There are 2 other Subways in the area... I implore you, go there, but do not go to the one on Spencer across from San Jac Central.
WORST PART about all of this... I didn't even eat the sandwich. Squished and made incorrectly, plus it was cold as hell after being toasted. Disgusting food! Terrible service! Be better.
