Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Made a quick Whataburger stop after being out all day and it definitely did the job. Got the BBQ Bacon Burger with fries and a drink. The burger had a good smoky flavor, the bacon was crispy, and there was a solid amount of toppings. The fries came out hot and weren’t sitting around forever. The staff was friendly and got my food together pretty quick. The portions were good for the price too. Nothing complicated, just a big burger and fries that actually filled me up.

stopped by late night after work and the drive thru was moving pretty quick even with a few cars ahead, ordered a burger and fries and everything came out hot, fries were crispy and not soggy like some places, the dining area was clean and tables were getting wiped down, cashier was friendly and double checked my order before handing it over, the ketchup packets were stocked too which is a small thing but nice, good spot when you want a filling meal without waiting forever

I had a very disappointing experience at Whataburger. I was served food with mold on the bread, which is completely unacceptable and a serious health concern. What made the situation even worse was the manager’s response. Instead of handling it professionally, the manager said, “Oh I know, I seen the bread before it was too late.” She also said it might have been because the tray they put it on was dirty.
Hearing that was shocking. If the issue was known beforehand, customers should never be served that food. And if there was concern about a dirty tray causing contamination, that raises even more concerns about cleanliness and food safety standards. No customer should have to worry about being given moldy or contaminated food!
