Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Giliana is literally the best person in the world. Came on a busy night after a concert & she served us in time & answered every question we had. I’m usually scared to come out to whataburger after an event & she literally made my night. would go again just for her 🫶🏽

Stopped by Whataburger and honestly had a pretty good experience. Got a Whataburger with cheese, fries, and a drink, and everything came out hot and fresh. The burger was juicy, the veggies were fresh, and the fries had that perfect salty crunch. The employees were friendly and got my order out pretty quick. Nothing fancy, but when you’re craving a good burger, Whataburger definitely hits the spot. Definitely coming back.

The way Dakota cleans the entire place and shows friendly service and greeting everyone is amazing skills. When an order is messed up, Dakota will wash his hands and make the problem be solved right. Got wrong order? Dakota will remake it himself for you. The tables were dirty? Dakota will get right on it and clean it spotless. Homeless bothering you? Dakota will make them leave with just his kind gentle words and confidence. And even his teamwork is amazing
If I were his manager, I would have promoted him to manager instantly. The amount of times my order was made right and I was greeted kindly by someone else is low but not great But when Dakota is greeting me, taking my order listening, and showing care and understanding to even the blind and wheelchair people while also running to help the customers at front and made the long lunch line go by real quick when he took the orders. The man works like a velociraptor, and I approve his work skills. Shoutout for Dakota

The worst Whataburger I’ve been to. My partner and I ordered two meals, two shakes, and a couple fountain drinks. We used the self-service machine to order since the staff behind the counter were busy (which is fine) but when we went to get our cups for the soda fountain and showed one of the staff our receipt he told us they didn’t have ice cream at the moment and couldn’t make our shakes. There was no indication on the self service machine that this was the case, nor was there any signage nearby, so we paid for our shakes without knowing they couldn’t make them. Still, I know things like this happen and it was late at night, so we just asked for a refund. The staff member called for the manager to come issue our refund, but when he got to us he told us very brusquely that he couldn’t give us a refund at all, since they apparently were out of change. He sounded annoyed that we had even asked. We waited for him to give us another option but he just looked at us. After a beat of silence the staff member we originally talked to offered us a dessert instead. I’ve worked food service before, and I know it can be annoying to constantly have to refund customers for the shakes, but then why not make it easier on yourself and the customers by letting them know the restaurant is out of a popular item BEFORE they pay? And then, the fact that they weren’t even going to originally compensate us for the money we spent on the shakes is outrageous. There were other minor issues as well: fries for our meal were forgotten, they had no straws out for a while, place was generally kind of dirty, and they were also out of sweet tea.
