Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
20 minutes. Wild. The last 5 years it has been known for being crazy slow. But it’s gotten way worse. I love whata. It’s my favorite fast food but I have gotten it a few times a year just avoiding the wait time. Ya’ll lose so much business because of how many people just don’t want to wait 20 minutes and go across the street to McDonald’s instead - including me. Not to mention the fryer hasn’t been cleaned in what tastes like ages. My fries taste like chemically feet. I had to throw them out and can’t get the taste out of my mouth. If I wanted my mouth to taste this way I’d gargle with nail polish remover bro. Not to mention the employees are checked out and some rude. But to their defense they seem exhausted. So either poor quality employees or more likely- very poor working conditions and understaffing. Do better for your employees whataburger. Fix the fryer. Fix the wait time. All around a bad look and an even worse taste. Horrible location which is sad as it was my favorite as a kid.

Guy at window is plain rude. Attitude and all. There was a whataburger truck right by the drive thru menu, making the engine super loud. So we thought shouting out our order would help but he ended up just snapping at us.

I came in this Whataburger location and to hear the lady Sarah talk down on her employees is so disgusting and disrespectful. It made me so upset that I couldn’t finish my food and just left. I will not be returning to this location if she is still there. She is loud, rude, and unprofessional.
