- AMAiden MaxwellAug 5, 20261.0My family has been dealing with a lot lately because of my mom’s health, so this experience was especially disappointing. We had just come from the doctor’s office, where we were told they couldn’t do her blood work that day because the doctor wasn’t in. They directed us to Tom Thumb, but we weren’t aware that not every Tom Thumb pharmacy performs blood work. When we went to the pharmacy to ask for help, we were immediately met with a rude attitude from one of the female employees. We were simply trying to understand where my mom needed to go, and a little kindness would have gone a long way during an already stressful time. Thankfully, a supervisor stepped in, treated us with respect, and explained that this location doesn’t perform blood work and that it had to be done at another location. I truly appreciate the supervisor for taking the time to help us. Unfortunately, the employee’s attitude left a negative impression and made an already difficult day even harder. I truly hope that in the future they don’t treat other customers the way we were treated. I felt judged for simply trying to get help for my mom during a stressful time. No one seeking answers about a loved one’s health should be made to feel unwelcome or looked down on. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reminds their staff that kindness, compassion, and professionalism can make all the difference.
