  Over the last four months, one of the biggest reasons I continued shopping at this store was the deli’s practice of marking down products by 50% on their expiration date. It was a great way for customers to get quality food at a reasonable price while also giving the store an opportunity to sell products that would otherwise end up being thrown away. Unfortunately, the deli has now stopped doing the 50% markdowns and is instead putting $1-off stickers on these products that don’t even work properly. For many items, a $1 discount simply isn’t enough incentive for customers to purchase something that expires that same day. I can’t help but think this change is ultimately going to result in significantly more unsold product being discarded, which seems like a loss for both the consumer and the store. The previous 50% markdown system was one of the things that made shopping here worthwhile for me. It reduced waste, gave customers a meaningful discount, and allowed the store to recover some revenue from products that were nearing expiration. I sincerely hope management reconsiders this policy before the store ends up throwing away substantially more product and money.

  Worst Tom Thumb I’ve ever been in. Expired food, dark and run down. Only go when I need one item while cooking.

  Bought hamburger meat there yesterday (7/14) and is is out of date today. Do not trust this store.
