But lately some of the prices have become hard to justify. $4.80 for a small head of broccolini is absurd. What really frustrated me was getting to the checkout area and finding that not a single cashier lane was open. I had a full cart and was forced to use self-checkout because there was literally no other option. If I'm paying premium grocery store prices, I expect at least the option of having a cashier check me out. Paying nearly $5 for a small head of broccolini and then having to do all the work myself doesn't feel like a great customer experience. At least at Walmart, where self-checkout is common, the prices are significantly lower.

I entered to store at 8am 06/02/26 Tuesday and no one said Good Morning and as I picked up a shopping cart and went up an isle everyone that I past said nothing and even when I got to the dairy section and two stock clerks said nothing and my thoughts were " what a group of un-happy employees". As I finished my shopping and went to the self check out and I returned to the cookie isle then and only then a store employee (female) spoke to me. I've been in customer service for 40 plus years and every person walks thru Tom Thumbs doors to shop is a bill paid. F.Y.I.
