  I want to live a couple blocks from here. I used to do my grocery shopping there. However my card stopped working there. So I'm not able to buy groceries. However I'm able to get my money orders and pay for them with that same card there. But I can't buy groceries. But because they're so close I still go there to get my money order. I'm not sure why my card works for buying money orders and not for buying groceries. Because they're using the same machines to check your card or scan your card whatever.

  Facility is in desperate need of a renovation. How long have the meat coolers been broken? Such an inconvenience for a customer to go to the counter, wait, only to be told they don’t have what I’m looking for. Please renovate because it’s a very convenient location but not convenient if you don’t stock what customers are looking for.

  I was a little surprised when I walked in this Tom thumb. It is not near the footprint of many of the newer Tom Thumb locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Being a smaller store it had most of the departments that they’re larger stores have, however it had less selection in each section. I think the surprise came to me because this is a busy location at a busy part of town. The store also did not seem as well kept as the other Tom Thumb stores that I visit. For example, the poultry section was completely empty. I don’t know if it was empty because it did not work properly or if they were just out of chicken and other poultry items. It looked to be in a bit of disrepair, so maybe it was not working properly. I have been to Tom thumb’s for the staff was very engaging, but this was not one of those locations. Don’t get me wrong nobody here was unfriendly, but there was not an effort that I encountered or witnessed of them going out of their way to help creat a shopper experience.

  I wouldn’t dare buy raw meat here (like people said rancid smell, clear just slower turnover of items, etc,) but it was solid enough for nearby. Some of the self check out guys I couldn’t tell were rude or not or just messing around. The one with the shoulder length side part and bangs was always making comments to the security under their breath and I didn’t know if they were just frustrated with their job or making jokes at customers like me so I stopped going and made the extra 5 minute drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. The morning staff is incredibly kind and they had 2 great managers a year ago!
