  Had a lady assist me and my husband at self checkout (for whatever reason just buying water and an indian entree required authorization from an employee). Not a smile, not a greeting, not a “have a good day” NOTHING! It was like we were bothering her by shopping there. (This was at 8:30am) We checked out, took our receipt and could not get out of the parking- it wanted to charge us $10!) My husband went back to validate our receipt (shouldn’t she have asked when she came to assist us at checkout if we needed receipt validation for parking?) and it only took a second to validate. You would think that the person the checked us out could have asked and saved us the trouble right? Never shopping here again!

  Worst location ever due to parking. Will NEVER RETURN. DO NOT VISIT UNTIL THEY HAVE FIXED PARKING! You will regret it! This store can do so much more to fix parking and chose not to. Almost all produce covered in gnats and flies! Yall! No exaggeration! Picked up a peach and a whole family of gnats came from the peach! They can have it!

  Yikes…as someone who has lived a few blocks from here since it was built and excited to have a Tom Thumb within walking distance - I will say this place didn’t have a high bar to start, but it has gone way down hill over the last 2 years. Customer service is anything but friendly or helpful. Produce is mid at best. Out of products constantly. I will admit the bakery does smells amazing.

  To be clear, the customer service staff is the worst part of this location. During the daytime, there are two Black ladies (one named Nia, and unfortunately I didn't catch the other's name), and in the evening there is a Black guy with braids. All three consistently have terrible attitudes. They either seem to hate their jobs, dislike dealing with customers, or both. I dread coming here knowing there's a good chance I'll have to interact with one of them, but unfortunately it's often unavoidable. In a time when good jobs can be difficult to find, you would think employees would put more effort into providing basic customer service. For the record, I am Black myself, so let's not turn this into a race issue. I only mentioned race because I don't know all of their names and wanted to identify the specific employees I'm referring to, not anyone else who may work there. These employees are consistently unpleasant and would probably be better suited for positions that involve less direct customer interaction, such as produce, stocking, or the meat department. Their attitudes make what should be a simple shopping trip far more frustrating than it needs to be.
