We had a really enjoyable experience at The Rustic in Dallas and it ended up being one of those places that feels very connected to the spirit of Texas. The food was excellent from start to finish and everything we ordered was flavorful, well prepared, and comforting in the best possible way. You can tell this is a place that values good food but also the overall atmosphere and experience. We visited on a Monday night and there was a private event happening, so the main indoor dining area was closed. Because of that, we sat outside in the event space area. Dallas was extremely hot that day, so of course the weather made things a little less comfortable at first, but honestly the atmosphere still made the experience very pleasant. The outdoor space is unique and full of personality. There is a large stage area for concerts and live performances, and just being there made us want to come back another time during an actual event to experience the energy of the place at full capacity. The Rustic feels authentic and relaxed without trying too hard. It reflects Texas culture in a very natural way and we felt welcomed the whole time. The only small downside was the service speed. There seemed to be only one waiter covering that section and he took quite a while to come back to the table whenever we needed something. Even asking for the check took some time. It also looked like the kitchen was a bit far from that outdoor area, which probably contributed to the delays. Still, this was a very minor issue compared to the overall experience. Great food, a memorable atmosphere, and definitely a place worth visiting in Dallas.

Server Hannah was friendly, and was great with a smile on her face. She made a few recommendations on drinks and food. Provided information on the food when we asked her. Smoked Dip Duo was delish! When they serve it is Smokey tots recommend it, onion rings are huge and really good! The ambiance is as amazing they had live music! The food was delicious and drinks were perfect! We will come back. Thank you!

Unfortunately, my family and I did not have the best experience at this location. We came to celebrate my graduate school graduation, a special occasion, and the service fell short from the start. Upon arrival, we were twice told to wait with a noticeable attitude, despite having a reservation and simply wanting to avoid a cancellation fee. We were seated outside, and as the weather visibly worsened, other parties were invited inside while my family and others were not. It eventually began to rain, and we moved inside on our own, then waited another 10 minutes with no direction on where to sit or what our options were. I had to seek out a manager myself to get our group reseated and acknowledged. The manager did apologize, and I appreciate that. But all I wanted was attentive, communicative service, especially on a milestone day. I genuinely love the food here and have had good experiences in the past, which is why I chose this place to celebrate. Sadly, due to the lack of attention and communication, I won't be returning. This was entirely preventable, and that makes it all the more disappointing.

One of the best vibes in all of Dallas — massive outdoor space, fantastic live music, and a menu that genuinely delivers. The pork chop is one of the best you'll ever have — incredibly tender with bold flavor. The icebox s'mores dessert is an absolute must, and the $21 brunch special is one of the best deals in the city. Ryan, Leslie, and Alejandro are all standout servers who make the whole experience better. It gets packed on weekends so go early or snag a reservation.

Walked in to the restaurant at 2:09pm today and a waitress came over 10 min after we sat down and said “I’m not your waitress but your waitress Alecia will be over shortly”. She asked for our drink order and we gave her our food order as well. 6-7 min later Alecia finally came over to greet us. At 2:55p we notice 3-4 tables that sat down after us in our area that got their food. We asked the waitress that sat us down originally why it was taking so long and why people was getting their food before us that sat down after us and she said “ That’s probably because they have a larger party”. I couldn’t believe that was her response smh. She went to the back to check on our food and it was obvious the food still wasn’t ready so we left. Keep in mind we was there 45 min and our waitress only checked on us once at the very beginning. Never came over to see if we needed anything, never said anything about our food coming or nothing. The customer service was HORRIBLE. Maybe because we were one of the few African Americans in the restaurant.
