About

We spent months traveling to Latin America, perfecting our wood-fire cooking techniques, creating our own reposado tequila, and even learning how to salsa dance. Te Deseo is our love letter to the liveliness, mystery, and community that blooms throughout the region. Featuring bold flavors of Latin American-inspired cocktails and cuisine, your senses will fall in love with Te Deseo. Spanning 14,000 square feet, Te Deseo features a series of unique dining rooms, four bars, and a stunning rooftop overlooking the city. We went to the rooftop today - Alejandro was our server. The food came out hot, fresh, and Alejandro's recommendations were on point! He was also friendly and very attentive with his service. The elotes and pork tacos were our favorite appetizers off the happy hour menu, and the drinks were well balanced while still packing a punch! The short rib was cravable - very flavorful and tender. The steak fajitas were cooked perfectly and were very tender. We'd definitely come back and recommend it for the good food, and the great service!

This place has high rating so I was expecting something better. The food has no flavor portions are very small and some plates are a joke for the price you are paying. Would not go back and definitely not recommend it as well.

If I could give half a star I would. This place is just getting hyped from tiktok probably!! First off when we arrived the table was dirty! It’s like they have it so dark they can’t clean correctly. We asked for lemons and they were brought over folded in a napkin after like 10 mins.STRIKE 2. Food was TRAAASSHHH. The best thing was the water!! The brisket tasted like they dropped the whole bottle of salt in it EEEYYUUUKKKK! The rice?! TRAGIC. Don’t get me started on those baby flautas they serve…..STRIKE 3 No AC?! STRIKE 4 and they won’t see me no mo!!!!!! Don’t waste your time you’re better off eating at Gloria’s.

Not sure why this place is so popular or has such a high rating, but I was not impressed. We arrived at 8:30 PM for my daughter's birthday gathering. We were told our party of 10 couldn't be seated until everyone had arrived, which we understood and had no issue with. Unfortunately, service went downhill after we were seated. It took more than 30 minutes for someone to take our drink orders, and another 15 minutes before the drinks arrived. Once our drinks were empty, no one came by to check on us or offer refills. About 25 minutes later, our food order was finally taken. At that point, I was ready to leave, but it was my daughter's birthday, so we stayed. It took another 20+ minutes before the food started coming out. I ordered the Brisket Flautas ($18) and Borracho Beans ($8), and neither impressed me. The flautas were covered in far too much sauce, and for the price, it was essentially two regular-sized flautas cut into four pieces and stacked for presentation. The beans were bland and lacked flavor. My husband ordered the Camarones Brochetas ($32) and an El Diablo ($17) cocktail. He said both were good, so not everything was disappointing. After dinner, we asked for our check but were told we needed to wait for the complimentary birthday cake. We ended up waiting another 25 minutes. When the cake finally arrived, my daughter didn't even care for it. Our bill totaled $103, with an automatic 18% gratuity added because of our party size. Personally, I believe gratuity should be earned. Mandatory gratuities can sometimes result in subpar service because the tip is guaranteed regardless of the experience. One final observation: this restaurant enforces a dress code, yet there were visible spider webs on the ceilings and around the doors. If appearance matters that much for guests, it should matter for the restaurant as well. We enjoyed celebrating our daughter, but that had everything to do with the people we were with and very little to do with the restaurant. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. ⭐☆☆☆☆
