  not authentic Mexican food they use yellow shredded cheese on there quesadillas. spent 25 on a quesadilla full of grease and fried fries tasted nasty. and a 20 ounce bottle soda . Don’t waste your money here !

  I came around 12:45am early on a Friday, the place and hours are convenient being one of the few places open at such time after landing from a late flight. They took 10 minutes just to take the order, being only with one person ahead. And took 31 minutes to deliver a simple taco order. Food could have been better, but the place is dirty and there is an evident lack of staff

  Ordered the chorizo, barbacoa, and chicken tacos and was not disappointed — food was delicious and fresh and a fantastic deal. Had to wait a little bit longer than my friends, but we came at the absolute peak of the lunch hour, so for the quality and price it was well worth it. Bonus: I left my wallet on the table and didn’t come back until a few hours later—manager handed it over with a smile and was actually apologetic that nobody had been able to reach me from what was in the wallet (didn’t have my number in there). If I lived in Dallas I’d be a regular—can’t recommend this location enough!

The barbacoa itself was the undeniable star—incredibly tender, rich, perfectly seasoned, and juicy without turning the chips into a soggy mess. Layered with the right balance of cheese and fresh toppings, every single bite hit the spot. ​The Barbacoa Tacos: Simple, authentic, and flawless. Served on warm corn tortillas that stood up perfectly to the generous, hefty portion of savory meat. Hit them with a little cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime, and you have taco perfection. ​The Verdict ​Bottom line: If you haven’t been to Taqueria Texaco yet, fix that immediately.
