  Don't know if it is just Chicago style hot dog that is just bad as a concept or it's just this place that hasn't figured it out. I will never know because I now refuse to try a Chicago style hot dog again. The best hotdogs can be found at the cart of a random home Depot or lowes.

  Pricey, but the sausages are long and full, the sides are solid, and most importantly... I haven't had a restaurant burger that wasn't cooked in a grittle in a long time. You can taste the smoke. There really is no better phrase of recommendation.

  8/28/26 about 5:40 pm. I guess I didn't say thank you fast enough for the girl with the long hair. She brought my drinks out to my car and when she handed me the first drink I said thank you. She handed me the second drink and before I could say thank you for that one she very loudly and very rudely said YOURE WELCOME! As if I hadn't already said thank you once already. I don't know if she didn't hear me or what but she had a nasty nasty attitude for no apparent reason and it made me not want to visit this establishment again.

  So I came here on my way home and I must say this was some of the best customer service ive had. They forgot my peppers but replaced them quickly. Noah, Drucilla and Jakayla were amazing. Gee Gee was holding it down too. These young people appreciate their job and it made me happy. I would come back here just for their smiles and attitude.

  Finally made it to Portillo’s North Dallas after hearing people talk about it for so long, and honestly it lived up to the hype. I ordered the Italian beef with a side of fries, and we also grabbed a Chicago-style hot dog to share. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the flavors were on point. The Italian beef was packed with flavor, the bread held up really well, and the hot dog had that classic snap with all the toppings working together perfectly. The fries were crispy, and I couldn’t leave without getting a slice of the chocolate cake, which was definitely worth it lol. The staff was friendly, the line moved faster than I expected, and the restaurant was clean even though it was pretty busy. The portions were generous, the prices felt fair, and the whole place had a fun, casual vibe. I’ll definitely be pulling up again the next time I’m in Dallas.
