  Absolutely love Portillos! The food and service are great! The Polish Sausage sandwich is tremendous (will feed 2 generously) and the onion rings are above the bar!

  This was our first visit to any Portillo’s and we were hugely disappointed! Based on this experience, we will not be returning to ANY Portillo’s. I wish I could give the Service zero (0) stars and the food was unimpressive, especially for the price. First, we told the cashier that this was our first time here and asked for patience as we asked questions. She was unresponsive and had a look of disbelief and impatience. After ordering, we wait 40 minutes watching the meal number board, with 13 meals to be served ahead of our meal, and intentionally listening for our meal number to be called. We finally walked up to the counter to check on our order as our meal number was second to be served. After a few minutes, I saw her change our meal number from in progress to ready to dine, expecting her to place our meal on the counter. Our meal had been sitting there. I asked how long our meal had been sitting there only to have the lady lie to us saying she had been calling our numbers for several minutes. However, our fries were hot and crispy as if freshly bagged. Furthermore, ketchup and napkins were out at one station and low at the other. Additionally, after we received our meal, we watched a large party next to us, struggle to get all of their ordered items as they went back to the counter multiple times with their receipt. A waitress questioned them when they said they had been waiting 30 minutes for their order to be served. I volunteered that we had waited at least 30 minutes too. The waitress after finishing with the other group came to address our discontent. We listen to the dining attendant attempt to make excuses for Portillo’s issues. I appreciated her attempt to address customer concerns, and I asked to speak with the manager. The waitress said that the “cornball” manager was in the back and too busy to come out. We are not planning on dining at Portillo’s again after this horrible experience.

  Been going to portillos since I was a kid in Elmhurst illinois and this is the slowest service I have ever gotten from portillos (been to many locations). Sorry but you need to improve your hiring practices at this location. The location in the colony is excellent but not here. I actually met dick portillos many times in my life he would not be happy.

  I brought my dad here as he had been wanting to try it for a while. I got a Chicago Dog, beef sandwich and chocolate cake shake, he got the combo beef and sausage sandwich. The Chicago Dog was good, really nice flavor and I enjoyed the sweetness from I'm not sure if it was the relish or peppers, but it was really tasty. The Shake was good too, about what I was expecting, except for the hug plug of cake forced down at the bottom of the cup, not a big deal though, I dug it out with a fork (couldn't find a spoon). Our beef sandwiched were disappointing. My dad's was dry as was mine, I guess we ordered wrong and the sweet peppers we ordered (instead of the hot option) were not sweet AT ALL. Please do not call these sweet peppers. They are just regular...pickled, brined, boiled, however they are prepared...peppers. Maybe they have a sweetness to them naturally, but it did not come through in our sandwiches. I think we were expecting the sweet roasted bells or cherry peppers, that, yes, have sugar in the brine, you know the ones. I also got a cup of au jus to dip my sandwich in cause it really needed it. Plain is not the way to go...baptized is probably. We are gonna come back to try the burgers and chicken and fish sandwiches, but this place, food wise, is on a slippery slope for me and my family. Service and Atmosphere was great though. The girl that took our order was friendly and its nice and new and clean...for now. Keep it up.

  I found this place by mistake.Had a motorcycle incident, blew my rear tire stop.Get a burger and surprise and behold.It was the best thing I had today amazing burger , amazing fries shakes or to die for come one\nCome all try this place is amazing. The manager is a nice guy and an employee twin.She's amazingAsk for her.She takes care of everybody really nice.Thank you, twin.I appreciate the help you gave me today
