  I came to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse to celebrate my dad’s 49th birthday, and the entire experience was outstanding from beginning to end. Our server, Evelyn, was fantastic. She knew the menu extremely well and gave us excellent recommendations throughout the evening. What stood out to me the most, though, was how she treated my dad. He doesn’t speak English, and Evelyn made a genuine effort to speak Spanish with him whenever she could so that he could feel comfortable and included in the conversation. I really appreciated that. It may seem like a small detail, but it made the experience much more special for both of us. The sommelier was another highlight of the night. Unfortunately, I don’t remember his name, but he did an incredible job. I gave him a very specific wine profile I was looking for: something dry and highly tannic, with plenty of dark-fruit character, but not sweet. Considering the restaurant has a wine list with thousands of selections, I was genuinely impressed by how quickly and precisely he was able to narrow it down. I told him I was leaning toward either an Italian or French wine, and he recommended a Barolo, specifically Paolo Scavino. It was exactly what I had been looking for. He took the time to explain the wine, its characteristics, how it would interact with the steak, and the flavors I could expect from the pairing. The wine was delicious, and his recommendation was spot-on. His knowledge of such an enormous wine program was seriously impressive. For our appetizer, we had the bacon-wrapped scallops, which Evelyn recommended. They were incredible, especially with the buttery baguette underneath. For our main course, we had the Prime Ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. We also ordered asparagus and steak fries. The fries had a generous amount of black pepper, which I personally loved it gave them a great flavor. We started the evening with Old Fashioneds, and those were excellent as well. They were very well balanced and made a perfect start to dinner. Overall, what impressed me most was the combination of great food, exceptional service, and the incredible wine program. Seeing such a massive wine selection is impressive on its own, but having a sommelier who can navigate it with that level of knowledge and precision takes the experience to another level. Evelyn and the sommelier helped make my dad’s birthday dinner truly memorable. Excellent service from both of them.

  My wife, Liat Matityahu, surprised me by making reservations at this wonderful restaurant after dining there with my daughter a week earlier. She loved the experience so much that she wanted to bring me back and share it with me. Another amazing dinner at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse! This has truly become one of our favorite places to dine. From the exceptional food to the warm and attentive service, everything about the evening was wonderful. A very special thank you to manager Liz, who went above and beyond to make us feel truly welcomed and treated us like royalty. Our waiter, Joshua B., was also outstanding—professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The complimentary desserts were such a lovely finishing touch. It was a memorable evening, and we’re already looking forward to coming back soon. Highly recommended!

  I’ve been here twice so far, traveling down from New York to attend a convention, and both times have been beyond amazing. The first time I order the Japanese Wagyu and it was.. indescribably delicious. This time around, I was with a group, and we ordered a few appetizers, bacon wrapped scallops and their chilled oysters. I ordered the lamb chops and we shared the Mac and cheese and the potatoes au gratin. The lamb was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The sides were delicious as well and did not disappoint. Not to mention the drinks were made perfectly , the strawberry basil martini was ordered several times. And to top it off, the services is out of this world, one of the best experiences we have ever had. I already am looking forward to being back!!

  End of an era? We have been dining at Pappas Bros. for over 28 years, my husband for longer. We have experienced wine tastings , wine dinners, birthdays, Valentines dinner and anniversary dinners. We have enjoyed dining in every area of the restaurant, but, of late, prefer eating at the bar. Tonight, we were celebrating our anniversary, and from the start, everything felt off. From being told, “the area is “tight”, but we will make it “work”, to the incorrect steak coming out (Hubs ordered a ribeye, and a filet came out) and my steak being over-cooked. Both orders were remade. With this, the sides, and lobster tail got cold with the remaking of the steaks, It’s not what you say, but how you say it. From the moment the steaks went back, the service took a hard turn. I get it, it can be awkward when food is returned… I spoke with Jordan, the Asst. Manager, to express concern with the food and service we had grown to expect. To be clear, our bill is typically $500+ with a bottle of wine ~ we enjoy our meals. We were not asked if we wanted dessert, which we typically do order, and with that, we asked for the remaining steak to be boxed, and we left. Moving forward, I feel “our place” has changed, and I am unsure I care to return. Jordan offered to make it right for the next visit. What does that even mean? I am so disappointed.

  I’ve gone to Pappas Bros a few times with my family and we’ve had great service every time except tonight. This is the second time we’ve come for restaurant week and the service we got was a total 180 from our previous trip. The waiter was really nice when we first got seated but after we asked for the restaurant week menu, that’s when he started to switch up his mood. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting to order and made eye contact with him multiple times but he continued to walk by our table without saying anything even though we all were just looking at each other. A different waiter came to help us with the wine and all of a sudden he suddenly approached our table to check for id’s. After that, he walked away without taking our order. We looked around again and he was gone for another few minutes before we had to wave someone over who looked like the manager? We finally got our order taken after that. I guess since the person we asked had more power, our waiter finally started being slightly more attentive the rest of the night. This service was nothing like the great service we had 2 weeks prior from a waitress that served us so we were shocked and disappointed to be treated this way at this restaurant.
