Have had multiple amazing experiences at MoMo Italian. The white bolognese and the vesuviana are superb. Great atmosphere, welcoming service. We love this place.

All the bad reviews are telling the truth. Firstly, when we walked in the person who greeted us was not necessarily nice. See, the staff here smile at you but you can tell they’re bothered. When we first walked in the guy asked us “are you the people who couldn’t figure out if you had a party of 5 or 7?” But the way he said it wasn’t kind, it came across as if he was annoyed. Secondly, when we were seated a portion of our party was not there. They didn’t serve us bread. Instead they served it once our entire party was there. You only get bread for free once. Which is about 9 piece's or it was for our big table. They give you this green sauce which btw, taste like straight grass and dirt. Nobody at our table enjoyed it. We all ordered our food, and this part is what made me the most mad. I am wasian meaning white and asian. I ordered a spicy pasta. The waiter insisted I get the non spicy version. I said no thank you, then again asked if I was sure and he could do half spicy half normal. 😐 finally I just said “I’m Asian, I can handle spice.” And he shut up. When they brought out the pasta the servings were tiny. The meat was not seasoned literally taste like my boyfriend’s canned chicken meat. My pasta btw, wasn’t even fully cooked half of it was still crunchy. The sauce I’ve cooked much better I mean it didn’t have any depth to it. It was very flat tasting. I tried multiple people’s pasta, and all of them sucked. Too smoky, too bland, not seasoned were all complaints we heard from around the table. They charged us a 20% gratuity fee….. Like….. Your food sucks. I saw someone say it’s like frozen microwaved food. Bro, my lean cuisine’s are better than their pasta I’m not even joking that’s frozen and you can buy at the grocery store for two dollars. We asked them also if they had anything for free for birthdays. Most places will bring out something for free. Although they did bring us something, they did not seem very happy about it and even made an icky face when we asked. Also, the chairs are uncomfortable as another review said. Also the desserts sucked. Their house dessert had a strong orange zest and chocolate syrup flavor…. Their lemon one wasn’t too bad. But it tasted like chick fil a lemonade. Nothing was special. Nothing was good. I see their replies to people in the reviews and honestly I’m embarrassed for this place. I actually have no idea how they get good reviews. Afterward we took photos outside where they were staring at us from the blinds. We were the last people there but we were taking photos outside of the restaurant. If they wanted us to leave they could’ve nicely asked instead of glaring at us from the windows. We even asked on of the ladies there to take a photo of us and again she smiled but you could obviously tell she didn’t want 2. The staff there is overall I would say the worst part other than the food. Yeah the food stinks, but sometimes the experience isn’t purely about the food but how welcomed you feel by the people in the building. The staff is definitely judgmental. Another review said they treat richer looking people nicer, and it’s true. They treated me and my friends (college students) like a chore. However, it seemed like other oldest wealthier looking Individuals were treated nicer. Whoever the manager is you really need to have a discussion with your staff. It’s embarrassing, and if your food sucks the least you can do is have better workers.

We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The food is made in house from scratch and it’s delicious. The service was top notch. We ordered two pastas, a seafood special, appetizers, and desserts. Every item was delicious. The owner checked on us multiple times and made wonderful suggestions. Her pride and love for the restaurant was obvious. We didn’t take pictures, but everything was beautiful. This is without a doubt one of the very best restaurants in DFW. We’ll be back next week.

Had a great experience at MoMo Italian Kitchen in Lake Highlands! The food was delicious, and the service made it even better. Rosario was our waitress, and she was so friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Shoutout to the owner, Wende, for creating such a welcoming vibe. You can tell they really care about their customers and making everyone feel at home. If you’re looking for great Italian food and amazing service, I definitely recommend checking this place out. I’ll definitely be back!
