We came here for lunch and tried the beef brisket, the dino rib, the chicken, fries and mac and cheese. The beef brisket was awesome, especially with some hot sauce and bbq sauce. I would come back just for that and the mac and cheese. Skip breakfast and come hungry! We were here during the world cup and they had the match on the screen. Plenty of tables and seating. It was a short walk from our hotel in downtown and the west end has a nice street scape.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. On a work trip to Texas and the first thing I want to try is Texas’ famous BBQ. Chose this place for its high ratings, but don’t be fooled. There is NOTHING 5 stars about this place. The first customers of the day and we got cold brisket, as if it was thrown in the plate straight out of the fridge. The piece of chicken had a hair in it and the corn bread cold and hard. The worst $45 I have ever spent. Avoid this place at all cost. *Edit- I’ve been sick all day after this meal

do not be fooled by the smoker outside. we left hungry. I would not have left a review if not for two staff asking for a one. this was genuinely some of the worst “bbq” we’ve had the unique displeasure of meeting. I would rather eat a sopping tea towel soaked in mop water because that would have more flavor. the meats: boiled and unseasoned. the kettle chips: stale. pecan pie came out boiling indicating it was quickly heated. the only good part was that the water was cold and wet. the cornbread tasted overly sweet like yellow cake rather than corn or bread. also, to go to the restroom you have to search for the room of requirement then head to the chamber of secrets. you take the elevator into the basement and enter a code to reveal what’s behind door one: an overflowing gas station bathroom. ew.

Food was decent, nothing special at all. We were surprised because the reviews were so strong. But the worst thing about it is the pricing. When I looked at the the menu online from a few months ago, side dishes were $4.95. Now they're $7. And they're not very big. We got several for a party of four and some were good and some were so so. In particular, the coleslaw wasn't very tasty and it is really small for $7. You serve yourself here, ordering at at the register and then picking up your food. And they still flip the screen around and asked for an 18% minimum tip which is really outrageous since you're doing almost all the work. I could forgive the pricing if the food is delicious, but it really wasn't. We won't come back.
