Great amazing atmosphere! We even had a man come from the kitchen named Kevin come from the kitchen to personally explain each dish to me and my son in detail, which I could not have appreciated more. Not to mention I suppose he assisted in cooking these amazing dishes. I would highly recommend this place! Great service but even greater atmosphere!

KASTON, who I believe is the manager has ALWAYS been a delight when I visit Mercat!!! He is amazing, such a warm and personable spirit and accommodating. Whenever I visit he is quick to get us seated and if I’m alone, he ensures I feel like I’m at home with family. I love the food, the ambiance and the wait staff this is the BEST place in Dallas for brunch or lunch IMO. … my waiter George also went over and beyond! Always the absolute BEST experience here. I visit about once or twice a week when not working. ❤️

What an amazing surprise! Zero expectations, we were just looking for a place for brunch and stop at the closest restaurant and was surprisingly good! Very tasty and nice staff! Price is reasonable and options are very diverse. I wouldn’t recommend the onion soup tho it was too sweet for me.
Got a chai latte, pistachio croissant, as a starter, and my friend got the honey something muffing (delicious), smoke salmon.
I also order a Pan roasted salmon and a Josephine, and he got HWD steak and eggs and an expresso martini.
Everything delicious besides the onion soup gratinée that was not what I was expecting.

Really great fare at Mercat Bistro for dinner on May. Traditional French bistro menu. We had beef bourgione, roasted chicken FrenchOnion soup and lamb. All really good, as was dessert. Deep wine list with bottles starting around $50. Nice peaceful patio seating.
For great service, ask to have Jane as your waitress. She made dinner for our group. Decisive with recommendations and a super fun personality. Best in Dallas!

My husband and I were serendipitously redirected to Mercat Bistro last night when their nearby sister restaurant, Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar, had just closed for the evening. While we were initially disappointed, we quickly realized the food gods were on our side! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The Parisian-inspired ambiance, expertly crafted cocktails, and exceptional food made for a magical night. Our server, Norwood, was particularly impressive; he was incredibly knowledgeable and carried a Zen-like calm that made us feel completely at ease. Despite it being near closing time, we never felt rushed. The quality and generous portions are staggering given the price point—it truly feels like a hidden gem in Dallas. If I lived locally, this would easily be my #1 spot. You won't be disappointed!
