I have been coming to Kenny’s for years now and last night was my first time I was disappointed in Kenny’s. I made a reservation on OpenTable for 9:45, upon arriving not only did the hostess say they were about to close but every person we interacted with kept saying how the kitchen was about to close making it seem very rushed. We ended up leaving as soon as we sat down because it just seemed like we weren’t going to get the best service. Ive made reservations for 9:30/9:45 before and never had the issue or at least i didn’t feel/notice the issue as i did last night. I would recommend taking the 9:45 time slot off OpenTable to prevent the same thing happening to someone else.

I am so sad I have to write this. I have been coming here for years and tonight I had made a 8pm reservation. It was so packed we had to sit at the bar after 6 minute wait. Then I bar is fine. Took me 10 min to order a drink another 30 minutes to get said drink. I understand busy but no offer of a menu or anything. I came here to make this a very special day…. Sadly I will have to find another place to do so.. I had to ask for a black. Mat for the bar, I had to ask for bread. I had to ask for a water……. My date flew in from New York and I’m honestly so embarrassed I took her here. In the past I had had one or two little incidences here like hot wine and when being asked I was given ice cubes for the bottle I ordered. The man serving me was very blunt and almost “emotionless” when it came to me but very lively to the lady’s next to me. I come here all the time and busy or not. Don’t think I will be coming back or showing anyone. Asked for plate seemed like I upset someone. Ordered a martinie dry extra dirty. Picture is below. Not dirty at all.. given my food with no fork…. Been looking for a waiter/bartender for 3 minutes.. foods cold. This was a crazy experience been here over 40 times. Never in my life. My number is attached to the reservation under miles. Please feel free to call me and talk to me. I told the man.

I do not write reviews often, but this place now holds a very special place in my heart. This was truly some of the best food I’ve ever had and an incredible experience. I’ve been gluten intolerant for 7 years and incidentally, not been able to eat at places like this because I can’t have regular pasta, bread, breading, etc. I had no idea somewhere like this existed where they can make almost every pasta or breading option (that they make in house) gluten free. They have an entirely separate section and are all very knowledgeable, it’s super easy to eat here. You can also get entrees or appetizers split 50/50 and I’m so glad I did that, too! It was such a pleasant surprise that I, too, got my own bread starter for the table— that never happens. The prosciutto mozzarella sticks
and garlic cheese bread were so good. We got one piece of complimentary bruschetta and it was phenomenal.
I genuinely shed tears twice here because I never get to eat good food like this! Most of the time at most places, you have either none or extremely limited options, pay more for it, and it’s worse quality. At Kenny’s, you literally cannot tell at all with anything and I mean that. You can call ahead (1-2 days) for the lasagna to be made GF because it takes them time to prep. Our waitress, Mel, was so kind and seemed sincerely happy with how happy we were, especially me with my dietary restrictions. I had looked ahead and wanted the ravioli, but unfortunately those aren’t made in house and couldn’t be made GF, but I honestly forgot about that by the end of our dinner because of how amazing everything was. I still really wanted the other aspects of the mushroom ravioli and they were able to make a penne GF pasta with those ingredients and it was to die for. I split this with the fettuccine carbonara, which was also fantastic. And they are MASSIVE portions for a reasonable price considering how freaking good it was. I nibbled the GF brownie there (I was so full, but wanted to have it at home the next day) and it, too, made me tear up. My boyfriend got the tiramisu and said it was fantastic.
Thank you for the unforgettable experience, delicious food, and making it so easy to eat such amazing food as a GF person. This is somewhere I will definitely be coming back for special occasions and to eat really good food. I already want to come for my birthday in six months. Please indulge yourself here!!! You won’t regret it ❤️

My dad and I stumbled upon this gem years ago and have made it our go-to spot ever since! Especially for any special occasion. Then, my boyfriend at the time came with us, and then it became our place. We just celebrated our anniversary the other day and plan to celebrate our wedding anniversary there each year now. It is the perfect warm and wholesome setting for you and your family to dine out. The manager and the staff are always on point and incredibly kind and generous. The food is in it's own ranking, because i'll be honest, it is some of the best italian food I've ever had. I have not had one dish there that I didn't like. I'd recommend the calamari and bruschetta to start, the chicken piccata, mushroom ravioli, and shrimp scampi for lunch or dinner. And if you have a sweet tooth, to end the meal, I'd recommend a canoli and ESPECIALLY their tiramisu with a cup of coffee. And if you're wondering, their menu is quite affordable and/or reasonable for the delicious food they serve, so don't expect to spend an arm and a leg for a nice lunch or dinner. Side note: They use Zeggafredo which is one of the best coffee brands out there! Trust me, it is quality. We used to buy it for my company. Additionally, the manager is in and out of the kitchen, conversing at tables, seating people, and is an absolute joy. Such a breath of fresh air to see management taking their customers experience so seriously. Her and her staff will have the most wonderful conversations with you. There are photographs all over their walls from customers and even celebrities who've visited over the years, and they have a nice drink selection to choose from! It feels very homie in there, and I highly recommend you visit them sooner than later❤️ S/O to my favorite restaurant in DFW!
I love this place’s food usually and have never had issues before. However, when I ordered today, I got the most sarcastic hostess. Her demeanor was “nice-nasty”, meaning she smiled but was very sarcastic and pushy/aggressive. I honestly felt profiled as though I was stealing my own dinner.
Upon arrival, I called and gave my name and said I’d ordered through Uber Eats. She said that I had to come in to get it. I said that was odd because I’ve never once had to do that before. Nonetheless, I immediately came in. When I entered, the woman said my name and I confirmed so I figured it would be a quick pick up. I thought this was odd bc what if she was wrong? She just told some stranger my name. Regardless I figured she’d just hand me my order, and I would go on my way. Instead she kept insisting that I press “I received my order” and physically held the bag out of reach and kept telling me to show her my phone. I have never gone through this at any restaurant, especially because this encounter initiated with me calling and giving my name which she addressed me by as soon as I entered. Additionally, I had already shown her my phone and the order as soon I entered though so I’m not sure why she kept asking to see it again. I told her that I would select that after I checked my order. Even then, seemed reluctant to even release the food. It was such an embarrassing way to be treated as a paying customer in front of other customers. But it seems like that was her goal.
I have ordered from here online several times before. I always simply call when I arrive and they bring my food right out to the car. Before I even got out of my car, I had confirmed the order so I’m still very confused on why I was treated this way. I know for a fact that she has no authority to make me confirm in the app before releasing my food. I don’t know if she thought I was a delivery driver picking up someone else’s order or went through the effort of ordering on Uber Eats and driving to the restaurant just to get away with <$20 of pasta; but this sort of treatment is so unnecessary and unbecoming of such a nice location and I hope they don’t treat delivery drivers this way. It was such a disgusting encounter that gave the food away when I left.
I have dined here on several occasions both at busy and quiet times. I have received impeccable service. The food is always amazing. The servers and bartenders go above and beyond regardless of what time you enter the establishment. As a Dallas native, I get asked often about food spots and I have recommended this place more times than I can count.
However, as much as I have enjoyed Kenny’s in the past, if this is how the HOSTESSES are allowed to treat people, I’ll pass going forward and will tell my friends to do the same. She was so nasty that coming back and seeing her would ruin the entire experience for me.
This incident occurred on July 10 between 5:00-5:30 pm.
