While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Dallas, TX, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.
Great meals but they forgot my order of guac. In reeding the reviews, it seems like this store has a hard time getting orders right due it being "new". I'll update review after next trip.

The food is consistent, but the staff is hit or miss. They either get it right, or completely wrong and you have to repeat yourself 5 times.

First time experiencing El Pollo Loco. Drive through attendant was nice and patient. Food flavor was decent. They didnt have any chicken legs/ thighs ready when we were there so had to opt with burrito/salad bowl and sides. We Would return.

This was my first time visiting this place, and the Hispanic lady who took our order was very friendly. She went above and beyond to make sure we got everything right. The food was excellent quality and delicious—we loved it! We will definitely be back!

I'll start this review off by saying that ive been here twice and have had two completely different experiences. I will be writing about today's visit. I came here with my family to get them hooked on the salad that i had tried the first time, but unfortunately the staff came up short. The first note was that the chicken was extremely dry and the rice was hard and stuck to my molars while trying to chew. Here's what really made this experience unpleasant:
When we first came in we ordered through the digital kiosk. When selecting a salad you are given the option to pick 1 dressing and then a salsa. We picked a dressing each and 2 salsas each. When our order was ready, I went to pick them up and noticed that not only were we missing salsas, we were misisng our dressings. I went to the registers to ask if someone could provide us with what we were missing. I caught the attention of a young black lady who was working the front. I told her what happened and with a bad attitude she told me that we had to pay extra because we didn't order any salsa or dressing. I was smart enough to keep the receipt with me and showed her exactly where we did order these salsas. She went and grabbed three salsas and told me to wait a moment for the dressing. I then watched her talk to a co-worker and walk to the back and didnt come back for a bit so I went to leave the salsas she did give me at the table. I then took a moment to give her time to locate the dressing because I understand working in food service is stressful and busy. When I went back to ask if she was able to find the dressing, she shot me a look and said that I had walked away. I simply smiled at her and said thank you. I figured that would be the end of if, feeling lucky she didnt spit in the dressing for making her go out of her way. What really got under my skin was near the end of our visit, I caught her "cleaning" tables and staring down my family and I only to turn around when we met eyes. She walked away and whispered something to her co-worker who promptly looked at our table and laughed as they walked away. Now I'm not one to assume but I was pretty certain there was an exchange there about our visit. Least to say, this treatment truly ruined the experience and tarnished the impression the friendly latina girl on the morning shift provided me the first visit. I am trying to be fair and not go as far as to give a 1 star but, man it felt awful to be treated that way.
