  Excellent all-around dining experience! I was visiting from out of town and celebrating a birthday. The staff, particularly our servers, Sergio and Vicente, went out of their way to provide excellent service. The food was wonderful, and I will definitely return the next time I’m in Dallas!

  This is a late review, we actually went during Restaurant week in August. The ambience of the place was amazing, very upscale and I’m glad we made a reservation as you will need if you go immediately after work! Also beware of the direction we turned down the alley behind the restaurant. My daughter and husband had the short ribs which was ABSOLUTELY amazing, if you go please try the short ribs they were tender and delicious! The waiter was very tentative with checking on us and providing suggestions. We didn’t have to look for the waiter to order drinks, food or water refills! I can’t remember his name but he was very helpful! We all tried different desserts (key-lime and pecan pie) were delicious!

  We’ve been going to Al Bernaits for 18 years. We went recently to celebrate our 50th anniversary, unfortunately we were very disappointed with food and service. When we were seated at the restaurant, this young girl quickly took us to the first table around the corner that’s seated eight people. We were two people and that restaurant was empty. My husband called beforehand to let the Restaurant know we were celebrating our 50th anniversary, historically whether it’s been anniversaries or birthdays, there’s always been a little extra attention given, however, not this time maybe it was the end of a shift maybe it was unexperienced servers wait staff but overall we were sorely disappointed for what we spent.Wild Salmon on a bed of linguine with red sauce was disappointing at best. Salad great escargot good but not great. Filet sides disappointing. Coconut pie A+, Not sure we’re going to return anytime soon. Sorry to have had to written this review, but we believe it needed to be discussed.

  The food was absolutely amazing. We went for lunch and had meatloaf and huevos rancheros with a wedge salad on the side. Our total came out to $57 and it was worth every penny. The meatloaf was a bit dry and gamey but the sides were cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce was so so good. The huevos rancheros had a bed of diced beef tenderloin along with a beans, eggs, sauce, avocado … and it. was. so. good. They did not skimp on the beef and all the flavors and textures went so well together. Highly recommend this place. Food came out pretty fast and piping hot. Only downside is the parking lot is teeny tiny and is VALET ONLY. Still can’t say enough good things about this place. Please try this place at least once if you’re in the area and want a good yummy meal!!

  Been here multiple times but the last time was not a good experience. Visited for my son's and my birthday. Our server got our order incorrect and kept pushing/suggesting alcohol on us and made weird comments like "you can buy me a shot". Typically we receive a free dessert for our birthday but this time we had to pay, even after knowing it was our birthday since it had lit candles. I did not bring it up when I saw it on the bill and just payed because I dont need a free dessert but it is a nice touch when they gift it to you. Probably last time I visit this location. Stick to the North location , Tanner is great over there.
