Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- RBR BrownMay 27, 20263.0I haven't been to Whataburger for a while, but after I saw the Bacon Steakhouse Double AND the banana pudding shake were back, I didn't hesitate to make a trip. I got my food to-go, and this was another reminder that you should always check your drive-thru order before you leave. We ordered 2 burgers and we were so disappointed when we got home, unwrapped our burgers, and there were no crispy fried onions on either burger. What?!! There are only five ingredients on this burger, and that's one of the key ingredients. How do you forget to add them?! Plus, there was literally one other vehicle at the drive-thru window when we ordered, and that person was driving off as we pulled up to the window to pay so it's not like the line was super-busy. The burgers tasted okay, but they definitely would have tasted like they should have with the crispy fried onions. So disappointing 🙁 ... plus our fries were only lukewarm (and we only live about 5 minutes from the location so if they started out hot, they would have still been hot when we got home because we ate a few minutes after getting home).
