True Texas BBQ is slow smoked in-house for fourteen hours over natural hardwood, and it's darn delicious. So much so, it was named Best BBQ Chain in Texas as recognized by Texas Monthly. Had the El Jefe sandwich that comes with brisket and sausage link topped with Cole slaw. A really good sandwich considering I was sitting in a grocery store. Not an amazing BBQ experience with overtone taste profiles but a good sandwich when you want a BBQ sandwich with plenty of meat. My daughter had their brisket queso nachos. Good entre but a little on the small side and the tortilla chips were typical grocery store fare. Still a good taste choice.
