Please check your bills carefully. Since when did restaurants apply gratuity to parties of 4? I always tip over 20% for great service but doing the bare minimum then expecting a good tip is entitled behavior. Trinity never came back to check on us after taking our order nor did she even seem happy to serve us. So when the bill came, we were appalled to see that gratuity was already included. Did she think we weren’t going to tip appropriately? Or was she trying to pull a fast one in an attempt to get double tipped? Either way, it appears very disingenuous since we weren’t informed of this during or after checkout and from my experience as a former server, automatic gratuity is a policy usually reserved for parties 6 and over. But now it made sense why she gave us lackluster service knowing that a tip was already included..

The food is delicious! Alina was our server and she was patient with us as we sent her back and forth ordering more and more items every few minutes! She smiled the whole time and gave great service. My kids said she will be our server from here on out and I agree! Salmon skin roll is great btw

I’m literally sitting here eating while writing this review, and the experience has been extremely uncomfortable. I can hear the manager, Trinity openly talking negatively about her own staff loud enough for customers to hear. It honestly feels like high school drama… petty, unnecessary, and extremely unprofessional. As a manager, you set the tone for the entire restaurant. If there are issues with employees, those conversations should be handled privately and professionally, not discussed openly where customers can hear everything. The food may be good, but listening to a manager bad-mouth her staff while I’m trying to enjoy my meal completely changes the atmosphere. It makes me wonder what kind of work environment the employees have to deal with behind the scenes. Management should be building their team up and addressing problems appropriately not gossiping about them within earshot of customers. Very disappointing and uncomfortable to witness.

The wait was ridiculous…only 3 tables in use and waiting for an hour for food. Our lunch went into happen hour and the manager and waiter refused any accommodations for our long wait . Manager them refused to come out and assist. $50 lunch for bad service and not top sushi food

The food was honestly a 10/10! We had the gyoza, spicy edamame, and miso soup, and everything was delicious. I would definitely come back, especially to try their happy hour. Unfortunately, the service was the disappointing part of our experience. I’m not sure of our server’s name because he never properly introduced himself, but he was the server with the Edgar-style haircut. When we first sat down, we asked for water, and it took about 15–20 minutes and another reminder before we actually received it. As someone who has worked as a server myself, I was pretty disappointed by the lack of attentiveness. I was always taught to make sure guests have water throughout their dining experience, even if they don’t specifically ask for it. He also wasn’t very welcoming or enthusiastic throughout most of our visit. Oddly enough, his energy seemed to change once we asked for the check, which made the interaction feel less genuine and more focused on the tip at the end. When it was time to separate our checks, he also had to ask us what each person ordered because he didn’t remember. In my serving experience, we were taught to keep track of separate orders as they’re entered so there isn’t confusion at the end. I do want to emphasize that every other employee we interacted with was extremely nice and welcoming, which is why I feel like our experience would have been completely different with another server. The food was great, so I’ll definitely give Top Sushi another chance and come back for happy hour. Hopefully, next time the service matches the quality of the food!
