Not a very good outfit to deal with the Manager’s make up rules as they go, and they treat disabled Veterans disrespectfully. Give the handicap and disabled Veterans a little bit more time than you would the other people who are well!

Very unprofessional team here managers do not take accountability and let the workers roam as they please. They are also scalping the Pokemon Machine and selling the products to customers at a higher value. Then when the normal people come in to buy from the machine, they give them dirty. Looks as if we have no right to be there. Me and two other friends Watch, two separate employees go to the machine on the clock and buy product! It’s also causing tension at the machine because all the employees are stealing the product so when a customer comes in, they’re eager for the machine because it never puts out! Unacceptable!

I was standing in line for product at a Machine and the manager comes up and tells us that we cannot be loitering. This is after one of their employees told us what time to be there for the Machine. This is also, after I bought a water and use the ATM ($3 charge) that is right next to said machine. He proceeded to tell us if we stand there for more than five minutes, he can kick us out of the store. Now, by the very definition of loitering, I was not! the reason why is because I had a purpose and the employee told me what time to be there! And even if somebody didn’t tell me what time to be there, if I figure out what time it hits, I have every right to walk in and wait. Now I’m a disabled retired veteran and I don’t move as quickly as others and I hurt all over. I don’t think this is right even after I told him they did not care. He even went as far as to say I shouldn’t be standing there for me and my son’s hobby, that it’s just a game, and that I don’t look disabled. The audacity! I plan on making an email to corporate going more in detail. Also, I think this is brought on because the managers are protecting the employees who are scalping the machine. I’ve actually witnessed them doing it and even got one to tell me what time the machine hits. It seems like all three of the managers that I talk to are in on it. They’re buying a $50 package out of the machine and selling it for $150. I believe this falls under merchant manipulation! I just wanna make it known that we know why you came over Manager! There were two of us standing there when this happened, not in front of the machine, but off to the side. Also, if people are having issues/fights/arguments in front of the machine, that’s on them, don’t paint everybody with a broad brush. They also try to say that they want everybody a chance to get product, but they let their employees scalp it the entire day there at work. That’s also why there’s nothing ever in it. It’s literally gone in a day or two because they take it all.I don’t know if these guys think we live in Nazi Germany or what! But they’re really protective of that vending machine!

I just tried to buy an olive tree. There was not a price on it. The manager was a black woman. She acted like a cashier she didn’t know what to do or how to get a price. I was so turned off and had to walk out of the store without the olive tree. Their manages need training on how to handle situations like this.

Shopping at Walmart I felt HEB was too nice for me. But slogging it out with the nameless, faceless roughens at Walmart, enough is enough. It’s a sheer joy shopping here. Happy employees, happy customers, music 🎶 playing, I hate to go home. And the holidays are a sheer joy.
Shout out to cashiers and baggers, they are top shelf all day. I was a bagger in the 70s and we could bag groceries like a machine with the cashiers punching buttons, no scanners, it was magic. But I think HEB checkout employees would smoke us. They’re awesome!!
Great store, great people, full stop!
