My family and I were not greeted or acknowledged when we walked in. The energy in the restaurant was incredibly low, and it honestly felt like the employees did not want to be there. We understand that everyone has bad days, but the lack of basic acknowledgment and engagement was noticeable. What really stood out to us was that even our 8-year-old daughter noticed the energy. She became so uncomfortable that she couldn't eat. As parents, that's concerning because the environment was uncomfortable enough for a child to pick up on it. On our way out, my husband intentionally thanked the employees and wished them a good night—loudly enough for them to hear—and he was completely ignored. We weren't expecting anything extraordinary, just basic courtesy and a welcoming environment. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt so unpleasant that we couldn't stay and enjoy our meal. Hopefully management addresses the customer service and atmosphere because guests should feel welcomed when they walk through the door.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
