We stayed at the Hyatt for 4th of July weekend. (Highly don’t recommend the Hyatt) It was super convenient to walk to Salt Grass for dinner. Food was delicious! We got a new server, Joseph. He was super respectful and attentive. Always asked a bunch of questions to make sure everything was right. He even shook our hands and wished us well at the end of our meal. The kind of personable kindness that can’t be taught. A natural warmth that was so welcoming! There was also a manager, Marcus, walking around the whole restaurant making sure everybody was doing good. Whole staff was amazing. We loved dinning there. We got the Pats Ribeye, sirloin, garlic mashed potatoes, smoked mac n cheese, broccoli, chicken tortilla soup, bourbon bacon and ended our meal with chocolate and ice cream. Highly recommend this location!!! :)

I’ve heard such wonderful things about this restaurant so I thought I’d come today to celebrate my promotion with my family. Oh how I regret coming here. I was really disappointed from the moment we sat down. Now, I am a patient woman and understand that when it is busy it will take some time for things to come but this was ridiculous. To start, we sat down, the waiter took such a long time before he greeted us and took our drink order. I ordered the grilled pineapple margarita and my partner order a frozen crown and coke. The waiter then proceeded to ask for ID from my partner and when he got it in hand, he asked for the birthday in a way that felt like he was suggesting it was a fake. That just set the tone for the rest of the time there which was not good. The kids drinks came before ours. Took another while for our drinks to come, and I do mean awhile. Once they did come there was no straws. The waiter then came around to take our food order and we asked for straws at that time. Took another while to bring the straws, the kids finished their drinks way before we could so we had to take their straws and use them for our drinks to enjoy it. As we were drinking, I looked to my left by a window and saw a roach crawling up the wall. This made my stomach turn. I was so scared it would fall on my food as I was eating so I kept looking out for more. We almost got up and left but didn’t want to startle the other customers out of courtesy. I believe there was a manager at the time going around asking other customers how it was going, he never came to our table. If he did I would of told him quietly about the roach issue they have but oh well now they’ll know after this review. Again, took awhile for the food to come out. The waiter came to tell us the kitchen was backed up and our food should come soon if we wanted any bread while we waited. I said sure. Bread never came. Food finally arrived. Food wasn’t too bad. I ordered a medium cooked steak but it was way too pink for my liking. The check came and it was way overpriced especially for the experience we had. All in all, the only positive thing I have to say about this place is that the pineapple margarita was good but that is not enough for me to come back again.

I dont normally make these reviews but this really irked me the wrong way....On the road for work with my coworker, we're both from arkansas and Missouri and after a long hot and humid day of work we're looking forward to the famous steaks and or whatever Texas has to offer that its famous for food wise and we chose to go here. On 06/24/2026 4:30pm We Walk in, coworker makes a sly joke after the hostess asked if there was only 2 of us and he says "and you if you'd like to join us" followed by his chuckles insuring it was a JOKE.....right??? No laugh from her, no sarcastic laugh back, no, "I have a boyfriend" just silence......we get to our table, a waitress that isnt supposed to be for us takes our drink order and brings bread and says our host/hostess will be with us shortly, well......TWENTY MINUTE'S GO BY, nobody comes to take our order for anything and there is orders being taken from other people that came in AFTER us from other hosts. Girl with curly super light hair in pigtails said she would have taken our table if she could, she was super nice. We were at table 30 or 33 i think I may have overheard from someone.

First time here for Father's day. Was overall unimpressed. The drinks were the best part, except for the tropical sangria, it was bad. It looked, and tasted, nothing like the menu suggested. The photo uploaded is supposed to be that. But the Long Island Iced Tea and Desert Bloom were good.
We got the queso with brisket appetizer.. it was decent, but the cheese was room temperature. I expected it to be hot, especially being it was served in a mini cast iron. So, it was OK. We had to mix the brisket and onions into the cheese ourselves, which was kind of odd, but no big deal. The temp was the only real complaint there.
Both of us got a side of sweet potato fries, and it was a pretty sad serving. If that was 2.5 oz I'd be surprised. They tasted fine though.
My chicken was good, but husband's steak left a lot to be desired. Specifically the cut.
He ordered the larger 10oz steak, and what he got was a chunk of a roast. I mean... when you order a steak, you expect a 1/2" thick slab of meat, that gets larger horizontally as the ounces increase. He got a 3" thick hunk of butt roast that fit in the palm of my small, female hand. And since he ordered it medium rare, expecting a thinner, more spread out piece of meat, the center was cold. As a former chef myself, I do understand internal temperature for meat wellness, but that's generally when the steak looks like a steak, not a roast.
So, all in all, the service was great. No complaints there. Them girls was husslin, and good for them! But I'm sure we won't be back due to the food.

Destyn the server was great. He was kind respectful and got me everything I needed for my family and myself during our visit. I would also like to give Logan T. A shout out. He was not our server but he was extremely kind and respectful as well. He had much enthusiasm with catering to all his tables that it carried over to mine and didn’t go unnoticed. He is an amazing people person. The staff at Saltgrass are very well trained and ready to make the people who go there have the best experience possible. Thank you Destyn and Logan for the great experience
