I don't know what happened to this restaurant, it used to be amazing. I understand, especially having worked on all sides of a restaurant in a tourist town, it's a holiday weekend and a Sunday.
I ordered the same thing I order every time, chicken Florentine crepes - they used chicken fajita meat for the filling. The hollandiase was broken, the food was only lukewarm in the middle. The other plate, a farmer's breakfast with over easy eggs, was cold. The pancakes came at the very end, and were likely taken from another table's order.
We waited an hour from sitting down to actually getting our food. Never a refill offer on the coffee, until the very end of our meal.
Other tables didn't get silverware, were ignored by staff. Our waitress asked how everything was in passing without even waiting for a reply.
Next time I'll just go to Dennys.

We were visiting from Dallas and came to Chops & Eggs hungry and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We started with the guacamole and bean dip, and they were honestly some of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. For our entrees we had the porterhouse steak, lamb chops, chicken schnitzel, mac and cheese, and the chicken sandwich. Every single dish was incredible. We finished with the Dubai chocolate cheesecake, which was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
BTW… The portions were HUGE so you definitely get your money’s worth and will have left overs.
What made the experience even more memorable was the outstanding service. Chef Jordan was incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming, and the entire staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful from start to finish.
The menu is so extensive that it was hard to decide what to order because everything looked so good. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we’re actually coming back tomorrow morning to try the breakfast before we head back to Dallas. That probably says it all! Highly recommend!!!

Our waiter, John, was fantastic. Personally he gets 5 plus 🌟 🌟🌟 Stars. The reason for 4 stars 🌟 is my food. Some of our food was fantastic and the the other was not.
My pancakes were so dry, not fluffy 🪶 or light in any way, almost 🔥 burned, but they did have great flavor on the pieces that weren't 🔥 burned. To bad I couldn't eat them, because they were so dry, 🔥 and heavy. Asked for crispy 🥓 bacon and received the floppy style. Like a wet towel!
My Daughter-in-law and 3 granddaughters food was very good they said. Kids had waffles of one sort or the other. DIL had normal BK w/gluten free pancakes 🥞. Now her pancakes were beautiful, fluffy and not almost burned.
I didn't get any pictures 😕 very sorry for that. I was enjoying vacationing time with them.

I knew it would be busy since I went on a Saturday morning, but I didn’t expect my partner and I to be placed in between two large tables without any room. Usually this would not have bothered me, but we were also accompanied by every single fly in Corpus Christi. The amount of flies inside the building that were flying around us and landing on us was absolutely disgusting. Our food was also disappointing. I ordered strawberry and banana pancakes, and with the amount of “fresh farm” food that was advertised in the restaurant I was surprised to see that my strawberries were fake and goopy. I couldn’t even finish my meal because all three of my pancakes were covered in canned strawberry slop. The server didn’t check on us at all until the end of the meal, so I couldn’t have made a complaint to her if I wanted.

Food was good service was horrible, never got to get a refill on water because our waitress was too busy talking to another table that she wasn’t even serving. The table behind me was a family of three that was my waitresses table & they were there for 10 mins before anyone even spoke to them another server had to take their order because our server was too busy having a 15 min conversation with another table. So good food but service HORRIBLE will not be going back, I’d rather eat breakfast at an ihop with good service then to waste my time here again. Also as if it couldn’t get worse a waitress sneezed all over herself & the computer where they input orders DID NOT WIPE COMPUTER DOWN & DEFINITELY DIDNT WASH HER HANDS PROCEEDED TO PRINT OUT A CUSTOMERS RECEIPT & HAND IT TO HIM SO DISGUSTING. I think these servers are just young & need better training.
