Today, 8/11, I had one of the WORST customer service experiences at the Conroe location. I arrived to pick up my smoothie, and first of all, there was NO NAME or label on my drink. So apparently, anyone could have picked it up, touched it, moved it around, or walked off with it. On top of that, the smoothie was watery as crap. I asked the two employees working, “Since when do you put smoothies on the wall for customers to pick up?” After they responded, I told them that was crazy because who exactly wants to pay for a smoothie just to pick up a watery mess? I called back afterward to ask for a customer service number or to speak with a manager, and the employee acted hesitant to even provide basic information. Then, to make matters worse, she answered the phone sounding like I had interrupted her sleep instead of calling an actual business. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service at this location is ridiculous. How do you work at a storefront dealing directly with customers but seem unprepared to answer basic questions about your own location? I asked for Gilbert, the store manager, to contact me and still have not received a call. If you’re managing a store, situations like this should matter because your employees are representing YOU and the business. Between an unlabeled drink, a watery smoothie, employees who couldn’t properly address my concerns, and the horrible attitude when I called, the entire experience was unacceptable. If customer service is not something you can provide, then working on the FRONT LINE of a customer-facing business probably isn’t for you. Customers should not have to chase down management just to receive basic professionalism after spending their money.

I visited this location with my daughter. I ordered a yogurt bowl, a kids smoothie, and a turkey sandwich. While I was ordering, a white couple came in behind us. The woman gave me a look that made me feel like I needed to hurry. The cashier was dismissive from the start. There were only four customers total — me, my daughter, and that couple — yet their smoothies were made and handed to them before our food, even though we ordered first. When the food arrived, my turkey sandwich was not cut in half, and the strawberries in my yogurt bowl looked old. I asked for a refund. I was first told the employee wasn't trained to issue refunds, then told refunds weren't possible. When I explained my concerns, I was told "they only got smoothies, you got food," which ignored the fact that I ordered first. I felt gaslit for raising a legitimate issue. I agreed to a remake. While it was being prepared, I observed staff talking over the food and had to ask them to stop. I requested the manager's name and was told it could not be provided. No refund, no manager contact. After leaving, I opened the remade bowl in my car and found it topped with mostly granola dust and crumbs from the bottom of the bin. I had to go back inside to request proper granola. The entire experience felt targeted. As the only Black customers in the store, my daughter and I were treated differently, delayed, and dismissed when I spoke up. This was not just slow service — it was prejudice, poor food handling, and refusal to provide basic customer support. I will not be returning.

The choices at Tropical Smoothie are great. The flavor and consistency are delicious when prepared correctly. I have given this location many chances. They are so slow I order my smoothie before leaving my house. The last time was over 20 minutes to make one smoothie. I ordered way ahead of time as I was on the way to an appointment. Still not ready and not fully blended. Not even drinkable. If I am paying $12+ for a smoothie it needs to be ready and correct. I would love to come back and revise this review once I get better service and product.

Workers fighting over who had to take order because none of them wanted to and lettuce came out all dark and nasty looking old and when I went to ask about it they said it was freshly made today so either their lettuce is already gone back when they made it or they lied about the making date. Either way they served nasty dark salad. Got my drink wrong too I asked zero sugar and they still put sugar in it. Saturday June 13 3pm

The employees complained loudly about who’s taking our order as soon as we walked in, when the store was empty, and they were all on their phones. On top of that the kale apple salad i had purchased was old. The lettuce was brown and completely wilted and it smelled bad. My smoothie was also made completely wrong from the way i asked. I normally love this place so very disappointed.
