  In our experience at the Conroe, Texas, restaurant, besides the GREAT food we enjoyed, we had the pleasure of having a table steward, Emily, who shared a great sense of humor and her expertise with the menu, and it all went well! Sometimes you visit a restaurant just for the food experience, but tonight, we had the best of both worlds, Great Food and a Great Steward…. THANK YOU Emily, for the best part of our day!

  First off we wanna say the food was phenomenal but I do have to say the customer service was probably the worst customer service we have ever gotten at any saltgrass not only did the server put a hot plate and burnt my five-year-old‘s arm. Didn’t even tell her the plate was hot and then her macaroni and cheese was ice cold. How does that work out? My wife’s salad never came out and the server says oh I don’t know how that happened. I get it. It’s Mother’s Day. You guys are busy, but I watched every other team member in that place work as hard and as fast as they could to take care of everyone else we had another waitress that was more of a waitress to us than our own waiter. Then I asked for the manager and then she comes over and did not really do anything about it? I probably will not return to this location. It’s Mother’s Day and that kind of really upset my wife.

  Very used to the always delicious sirloin at TRH, was surprised after ordering the same at Saltgrass to receive a steak comparable to those prepared at non steak restaurants, nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered a combo with shrimps, which cost 50pct more than TRH, to my surprise, only 4 miniature shrimps like a kids plate. Ordered to start a bake potato soup, it really tasted like canned soup, what can I say?

  We decided to try Saltgrass out for the first time & safe to say we will never be back. Although, there was no wait, the hostess had zero customer service, he was whispering i didnt understand a word he said. We sat down and the waiter took 15 minutes to finally acknowledge us. Not to mention the floor was so filthy. I mean trashed! I would completely understand if it was jam packed but even then I dont understand why we had to wait 15 minutes because when I looked around alot of tables were empty, & there was a plethora of waiters just roaming around doing nothing. Mind you, this is on a Monday. Finally, our waiter came (didnt get his name) & he reeked of cigarettes. Really? We ordered and appetizer & it took 40 minutes

  Went to the Saltgrass steakhouse in Conroe, Tx on Friday April 17th. For background I have a rewards card (my wife and I go often). I had two friends in from Kentucky, it is their favorite place to go when in town. We ordered two prime ribs and a ribeye the total bill came to $152. I ordered my prime rib medium rare, it came out medium no big deal it was still good and it is tough to get it perfect. However I ordered a loaded baked potato with it, it was drowning in butter with a teaspoon of sour cream and three small pieces of chives. It had no cheese or bacon pieces on it, I asked the waiter (Leo) if this was a loaded baked potato, he smirked then grinned and told me yeah acting like it was a big joke. So I tipped him $6 told the hostess about my experience on the way out told her didn’t know if I would ever be back, don’t know if she cared one way or the other. Outback is right next door never been treated that poorly there.
