- JWJ WOct 4, 20261.0I have generally enjoyed shopping at this Market Street, but I have experienced repeated issues with promotional prices not being applied correctly at checkout. On several occasions, items marked 50% off have scanned at the original price or with a much smaller discount. I have also encountered shelf promotions, such as $1 or $2 off, that were not applied at checkout. When I noticed these discrepancies, employees corrected them. However, for some shelf promotions, I was asked to go back to the shelf and take a picture of the promotional sign as proof. This happened again today. When I brought the pricing discrepancy to Nathan’s attention at the service desk, I was asked to go back to the shelf and take a picture of the promotional sign. Given the response and the way the issue was handled, I decided to return the product instead. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that the manager was off duty and that Nathan was the only person available at the service desk to address the issue. The individual price differences may be small, but this has happened repeatedly. Customers should be able to rely on the promotional prices displayed on the shelves without having to photograph the signs to receive the advertised price. I hope management will review its promotional pricing and checkout system. Customers should be able to rely on the prices and promotions displayed in the store without having to photograph shelf signs or carefully check every item as it is scanned.
