    Great kids with positive attitude working there, but my wife and I went in today, and both got violently ill. We each ordered something different for a main, her having a hamburger, and I the blackened redfish. My wife didn’t even touch her burger, but did eat a few of her fries, and started to feel badly. She asked for a to go box so she could bring her burger home, and we’ve since threw it in the trash. We did share an order of fried mushrooms with ranch dressing, so I suspect it may be that, although my fish smelled kinda nasty. We drove all the way from Brenham to go to an appointment for the VA, and decided to stop by for lunch on the way home. After we pulled away from the restaurant, we only made it about 15 miles before we had to pull over with terrible vomiting and diarrhea. I’m terribly disappointed with this place, am out almost $60.00 for lunch, and will undoubtedly never return ever again! Today’s date is 7/7/26

    This was a little different as you go in and order and they give you a ticket and flag to place at your table you select. But after getting my hamburger, my thinking is this is more of an icehouse than a grill. The meat was perfectly round like the bun and flat. The taste was like it was heated up in the microwave. I wouldn't have been proud of serving this to anyone. The fries were decent and that's the only reason I gave 2 stars. Service was good and I liked the place but the food wasn't what I expected for the price. I would have been better off at Whataburger.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We eat at Willie’s Icehouse a lot, but Syd O made tonight extra fun! She was friendly, attentive, and had such a great attitude. Great service can really make a meal even better, and she definitely did that. Thanks, Syd—we hope to have you as our server again soon!

    We returned home from a trip to downtown Houston for a followup visit to a doctor that performed three surgeries on my wifes’s foot a week ago. Ate cereal for breakfast and for lunch a small not too tasty burger at a high priced place that was supposed to be “different”. Our group of four ranged 12 to 73 wanted a hot meal of our choosing. We decided on Willie’s because of the variety and most of the time we are satisfied when done. We ordered fried catfish w/onion rings instead of fries, a “founders burger” for the first time and Ice house Cobb salad w/grilled chicken. Include extra ranch and tartar sauce. When the daughter walked in, she was greeted by three people. They had the meals packaged and ready. They pulled each item to check accuracy. My daughter said they really went great steps to be sure it was right. The manager, Amy was looking in, but it seemed this would have happened even if she was not present. She got home and my gosh EVERYTHING was, hot, fresh and crispy. The fish, onion rings and fries were not limp or mushy, they were actually crispy. The salad had warm pieces of grilled chicken with each bite tasty, no oily after taste. The “founder’s burger” was a pleasant surprise to the 12 year old grand-daughter. She said the meat and cheese were still hot. The fries were crispy. The meat had a texture that was much more than just a mush. It had flavor and some caramelization that she said was almost like a smash burger. Usually at most places we have pile the fries, onion rings and fish into our air fryer to get it all hot. Not this time. The packaging was different, like vented. So it did not trap that moisture that makes anything fried get chewy and mushy. THIS is what we want everytime we come into a Willie’s! The cornmeal on the fish, you could enjoy the texture of crushing and crunching the corn meal, it made the fish taste so good. Thanks for the best welcome and all around meal we have had in a while. The whole meal (no drinks) fed four (we shared the fish) very hungry folks for $50.

    This is my 2nd time coming here. First and foremost, I had wonderful service from Angelena. When i came for my 2nd time, Matt was my server. Both went above and beyond to fulfill my every need. Matt showed up with a smile every time and made sure I was taken care of even as the restaurant was busy. Both went to drastic measures to ensure i was a happy customer and made my experience the absolute best! Keep up the great work guys!
