Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Came in the afternoon for a burger and it was ready before I got to the window. These people are not making anything fresh. They mass cook food and let it sit, so they can serve it quick. Absolutely the worst Whataburger by far that I’ve eaten at, and I’ve eaten at Whataburger all over the country.

- VGVanessa GottsAug 18, 20261.0Alright if you go to this location in the middle of the night they will ask you to leave the drive through and go to a separate lot and then walk the food to you. This is to cheat whatever drive thru time metric they have to adhere to. However doing this produces false results which they can never compete with. e.g. a window wait time of 15 seconds to pay before they ask you to drive off. Another issue is that messing up the order is extremely common here as whoever bags the food doesn't seem to read the attached receipt and instead goes off of vibes. Just make sure you check your food before you leave as it seems they do not. This is complicated if its late because you wont even be in the drive thru line when they hand you the food and speed walk off forcing you to wait the drive thru line again or to go inside which defeats the purpose of having a drive thru in the first place. Cost cutting measures have decreased the food and service quality of what was once my favorite whataburger despite constantly increasing prices.
