Unfortunately, my second visit was the same. The brisket was dry, the ribs were dry, and the back ribs had no flavor. Two strikes are enough for me

The people were less than pleased to be doing their jobs, as they seemed bored. The atmosphere on this Saturday afternoon was just kind of blah, as it was around 4pm. The picnic tables were clean. However, things were a little hard to find, such as silverware, napkins (which were rolls of cheap brown paper towels on every picnic table. Upon first site and approach it seems like a nice quaint BBQ house, but upon closer inspection and taste it was just kind if lame and boring and didn't taste very good. I will say their meat was done well and tasted pretty good without their sauce on it. I ended up taking the rest of my brisket home, seasoned and sauced it up right. Then it was finally a proper Texas BBQ. Thanks all, Jim

- VTVincent TruongSep 6, 20262.0So… I’ve decided to stop by at Rudy’s just to give it a try. Prices for half pound are much reasonable, so I gave their brisket a taste (the main part of going to a BBQ restaurant in the first place). Unfortunately, their brisket doesn’t taste very great, and it’s after-taste is much more like engine lubricant (which I’m very surprised by then). I don’t see how they are living up to their “fresh” claim. Sauces are great but they unfortunately cannot make up for the brisket I was served to overpower the taste. I have been to many Texas BBQ places and I have never seen this one gone worse :( However, corn on the cob was great, I suggest always add butter if you can! Great usage for condiments! So yeah, if you can—please fix up your brisket please…
