Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
My husband ordered ahead to not have to wait a long time in line. He parked in one of the curbside spots and still waited 28 minutes for his order. When the by came to give him his food, he threw the bag at him. Now, he only brought food… no drinks. The boy went in to get two sweet teas and 1 orange soda, when he came out he just stood outside for 10 minutes holding the drinks. There were no cars coming he could’ve crossed but he just stood there. Now the food is cold after waiting in him for 10 minutes to decide to cross. My husband gets home and the drinks are only 3/4 of the way full, they are all medium when 1 should’ve been a large, the food is cold, and there are NO Sauces in the bag. 😡
Worst experience ever. This location needs to get it together or shut down.

Every time I have ordered at this Whataburger I have to ask for things they forget. They NEVER give me straws. Today I got an iced coffee, that HAD NO COFFEE IN IT (literally just cream), pancakes with NO SYRUP, and no straws. This place gets worse every time I go.

Placed an order online and selected curbside pickup, but no one ever came out with my order. I eventually went through the drive-thru, only to be told they couldn’t help me and that I had to go back to my parking space and wait.
What a joke. If you offer curbside pickup, you should actually provide the service. This was a complete waste of my time and incredibly frustrating. This place is trash. It’s no wonder they’re not considered one of the top fast-food restaurants anymore.

This is the most consistent location Whataburger has. They consistently under deliver on service. I’ve completed an order every possible way app, pick up, drive up, and all in - you get the picture and I think they’ve gotten my order right only once and it was for breakfast. Management does not respond well. Today Alyssa asked us what we wanted her to do. I think, her job. Ketchup is always an issue, but I wouldn’t write for just that. Today Alyssa said one of our two issues was due to their cola distributor and let us know we could come back. For what? They think it’ll be fixed by the time I load up and drive another 10 minutes. It’s closer but I’ll head to the Gates at Propser where they tend to have way fewer issues.

⭐ 1 Star — Absolutely unacceptable customer service
This was easily one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve had, and unfortunately, it’s not the first time we’ve had terrible customer service at this location.
We sat at the drive-thru order board for at least 15 full minutes without anyone acknowledging us or taking our order. The only reason we didn’t simply leave was because the line had backed up so badly that cars were blocking the exits. At one point, cars were literally driving over the medians to get out of the line because the situation had become so dysfunctional. In total, we spent nearly 45 in line at the drive through.
When someone finally did take our order, the employee’s attitude was immediately rude and completely unwelcoming — before we had even had the opportunity to say a word. There was no apology for the excessive wait, no acknowledgment of the obvious chaos, and absolutely no sense that anyone working there cared that customers were being left sitting at the order board.
And this experience is just the latest issue. We’ve repeatedly dealt with poor customer service, incorrect orders, and consistently disappointing food quality at this location. Tonight’s experience was simply the most memorable example of how poorly this restaurant is being operated.
A long wait is one thing. Mistakes happen. But leaving customers sitting at the order board for 15 minutes, creating a traffic situation where people feel forced to drive over medians to escape, and then responding with an attitude when someone finally takes the order is completely unacceptable.
This location needs a serious overhaul in both management and customer service. Good grief.
